    Sydney Opera House (Australia)

Not sure I'd have Tower Bridge in my top 5 UK landmarks so can't vote for it here against something as iconic the Opera House.

Tower Bridge - I prefare it over the prehistoric dinosaur looking thing. & not in a cool interesting dinosaur kinda way

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,037 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

I think I've voted against it previously but I'll still go for the opera house over the tower bridge. I actually think The Tower of London itself is a better landmark than the bridge.

The opera house is an impressive building and although I think there are stronger landmarks remaining, I'll give it the nod here.

    Hummm

The opera house says Sydney more than Tower Bridge says London - I think.

Sydney Opera House for me..... designed to look like sails in Sydney Harbour (not dinosaurs!), it's beautiful, iconic, and a lot more attractive than the bridge.

    Tower Bridge please

I would normally go with a building over a bridge, but I think tower has more going for it than the opera house, which is famous for it's roof. Saying that, I'd be happy with either going through.

I think Both are overrated looks wise but Southwark is my second home so gonna give the Tower a shout more for the memories than anything else

Missed out on the entire tournament thus far as was otherwise engaged, but will join in for the last day or two if allowed.

Sydney Opera House ; one of the most iconic buildings in the world and more visually appealing than the Tower Bridge for me.

Our last Round 3 match is coming up now momentarily and it's a tough one to call. Neighbours do battle next...

    Schafberg Peak (Austria)

I just love it. The fact that's a pub on top of the peak too... I won't be disappointed if the castle goes through though, it's amazing too

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,037 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

    Neuschwanstein Castle.

Both are amazing but, while Schafberg has amazing scenery, Neuschwanstein has amazing scenery and also an iconic castle built right into the middle of it.

This could have been a high quality final had they avoided each other in the rounds.

That Austria place looks mad, so it's a vote from me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,712 ✭✭✭Sawduck

    Neuschwanstein Castle
This should be a close vote, both are stunning but I prefer the castle

Schafberg Peak ; a pub you say? I'm now adding going there for a pint to the auld bucket list.

    Schafberg Peak

Love a nice scenic pub and surely that has to be one of the best. Shame to vote against the castle but needs must.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,511 ✭✭✭Purgative

    Neuschwanstein Castle.

Both are amazing but, while Schafberg has amazing scenery, Neuschwanstein has amazing scenery and also an iconic castle built right into the middle of it.

    Same as this please

    Neuschwanstein Castle

Far more impressive than a hut on a hill.

This competition is rapidly falling asunder.

    A lot of tactical voting.

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

That concludes the round. Here's an interesting stat; Round 3 had a 50-50 split with regard to Europe and Rest of the World... the Quarter Final has the exact same split!
