Stari Most, far more history to it and an incredible setting in the city centre with the mountains as a backdrop on either side.

Stari Most Bridge (Bosnia & Herzegovina)

Should of gotten to see this in person in April, was really looking forward to it. Looks amazing.

    Sagrada Familia

    It's just spectacular

Stari Most Bridge - ok so I'm going back on my word by saying I'm not gonna vote on looks alone anymore.
I'm voting against Sagrada again for the same reason I'll use each time it comes up, it looks like its covered in limescale, & I just can't take to it.

    Sagrada Familia
Love the design of it, it really is something special

Both great again, but Sagrada Familia for me. So much more bizarre and intricate. Always something else to discover - the first line of the Our Father is carved in Irish on one of the doors for example - and it's still being built 130 years after Gaudi started it. Superb.

    Stari Most for me.

For the historical significance, also its lovely setting in the lovely town of Mostar, and it's a lovely thing in its own right.

Sagrada. If been twice now and a different experience each time. It's the landmark keeps on giving.

Interestingly both have been destroyed and rebuild during civil war

    Schafberg Peak (Austria)

And here I abandon the Ozzies to vote for my find of the tourney, truly in love with this place.

Never been a big fan of Sydney opera house really, just not my cup of tea

But I could imagine myself hiking up the peak for a cold pint, so
    Schafberg Peak (Austria) for me

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,645 ✭✭✭SineadSpears

Sydney Opera House - ok I'll go with the opera House (that I think is ugly & dated) because I think it IS more landmarky in this landmark tournament

    Schafberg Peak (Austria)

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,256 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

These two would have probably made it to the final in my head......

Despite having touted Schafberg as a potential winner overall, I'm going to have to plump for the Opera House here.... its a beautiful building in a gorgeous setting, built to resemble sails in the harbour.

But apart from one of them having to get knocked out as a result, I really don't mind which of these goes through!

I love the Schafberg Peak it reminds me of the time we did a night time we did a night toboggan run after 14 schnapps.

    Sydney Opera House

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,936 ✭✭✭Citizenpain

Sydney Opera House . It’s more landmarky although I’d probably feeder the harbour bridge or Great Barrier Reef for oz

  • Registered Users Posts: 30,430 ✭✭✭✭Tauriel

    Schafberg Peak (Austria)

If you can't support Irish, you may as well support European :P But in all honesty, this was a new discovery for me and I think it's crazy altogether.

Hmmm..... having been reminded of the train and the pints can I change my vote to the mountain??.

God, it's so hard to choose!!
