Are you now charged for calls/texts/data in UK since they left EU?

I'm on GoMo and got charged for ringing a UK landline.

UK left EU on Jan 1, 2020 so I guess GoMo are entitled to do this.

But I had read media reports that Irish phone companies would not be charging for UK call, texts and data when UK left...

Has anyone else been charged by other carriers?

You were always charged for calls to the UK from Ireland unless you had a bundle to cover you for those calls/texts. Using your phone in the UK like you normall would at home while roaming is still covered as far as I know with some limit on allowances depending on network you’re with.

Future roaming charges will depend on what is agreed about the UK's future relationship with the EU.
