And I don't see why people should be "put off" by big words or hate the people who use them like Trump fans seem to
it's jargon. And it as an idea is racist and sexist,

    Can someone explain this?

    https://www.google.ie/amp/s/www.irishtimes.com/business/media-and-marketing/us-election-cnn-s-john-king-wins-irish-viewers-votes-1.4402639%3fmode=amp

What has he done to be asked about being Irish?

And why has the writer not explained it in the article?

I’ve seen this before - a news article with a news headline that have nothing to do with each other.

Well to be honest at the end of the day who actually is in The White House has little effect on normal everyday American life.

States have their own government, towns have their own government.

It's who's in charge there that has more of a bearing on ones everyday life than Washington.

    He is of Irish descent.

Racism isn't the belief that one race is necessarily better that another - it's the belief that that there's such thing as a "race" (there isn't) which gives rise to notions of racial superiority/inferiority etc. That's how you know America is a deeply racist country - everyone is their pigeonhole first and a human being second.

It depends also as to whether you think being Irish , Italian or whatever American is cultural or racial. You can acknowledge your Irish heritage without believing you are racially different to someone else

No idea what you're rambling about and what it has to do with John King.

Haha, how can anyone take that talking orifice seriously... especially when we all know it is actually Café Nero that Biden and Harris want everyone to drink everyday. Rookie mistake there ;)

Tried watching some USA news channels to see if there are any changes. Christ on a bike, I think my heart rate increased by about 40bpm watching that, it was just an assault of colour, speed, and sound. How the hell people watch that is beyond me.

I realise that this amount of mail in ballots was new for America as a whole but Pennsylvania are taking the piss. They knew that there was likely going to be lot of mail in votes and the governor and state legislature as a whole have made this harder then it needed to be.

We are losing site of the fact that the count is finished in almost no states and the only reason there are eyes on Penn is because it is still in doubt. Penn are on 99% counted, so are are about 25 other states. California are at 66%, New York, New Jersey about 75%.

But you dont blame Trump for destroying the postal services and hindering deliveries?

I do but I’m talking about how states have handled the mail in ballots they got. Pennsylvania couldn’t work out a strategy to work through them in a timely manner. So yes trump and the post master general deserve huge blame, but that doesn’t take how Pennsylvania didn’t prepare on how to count those ballots. They should have been allowed to at least open the ballots before Election Day like other states.

Allegheny County, PA, say they have 20-23k mail-in ballots to count, and Biden is taking them by an 80-20 margin. There's 17k provisional ballots to come that are going Biden's way 75-25.

They're due within the next few hours. Biden should shortly go beyond the 35,000 margin and I think then the networks will call it.

It was republican legislation in the state by the republican controlled legislature in Pensylvania that prevented the counting of mail ballots before election day like other states, Florida etc.

They were warned that could mean days of delay but did it anyway. Now republicans are complaining about the delays.

    Farce

I predict they will call the election just after 5pm our time. Maricopa County's last drop (excluding provisional) in Arizona is due at 4pm and Clark County in Nevada are dropping a bunch at 5pm. They should be in a position to call those states then.

But Florida has a republican governor and they have it down to a fine art. As does Ohio which has a republican governor. You are right that it’s a republican legislature in Pennsylvania but other GOP controlled states are able to figure it out.
