Did a Democrat ever win Virginia?

    Hillary Clinton, and Obama twice.

Before then, the last Democrat winner in VA was Lyndon Johnson.

Posters drawing conclusions based on the data to date is nuts. It is impossible to draw any conclusions based on what we've seen. Miami-Dade trend is unique and won't be seen elsewhere. Suburban pro-Biden trend is important.

Biden can lose Florida and still realistically achieve wins in 330-380 electoral votes. Especially if his vote in Ohio holds.

Did a Democrat ever win Virginia?

Barrack Hussein Obama along with Hilary and I'd expect Biden to win there too.

    I haven't checked anywhere.
Did a Democrat ever win Virginia?

Yeah, HC in 2016 and Obama in 2008 and 2012.

Yeah msnbc are saying that Florida is more important to trump than Biden.

Biden is polling well in Texas urban areas.

I don't think anyone who wants Biden to win but sees that he's going to lose Florida is writing him off for the Electoral College. Biden needed to be ahead before the panhandle votes started to come in.

If Biden had matched Hillary in Miami Dade he would've won Florida.

CNN call states as the polls close when it's obvious how it's going to go. It's obvious that Trump has Florida won but they're afraid to say it.

No they're reporting the figures as they come in.

Just because you don't like that doesn't make it less factual.

In fact I would say youd give out about it if CNN were making up stuff..

Crushed is a tad hysterical. He didn't run up the score in Miami Dade
I am sorry, but crushed is the correct term. The US is having to deal with an economy that is in a mess with covid wreaking havoc. For Biden to actually lose Florida by more votes than a deeply unpopular candidate like Hillary is disastrous.

Early days and all but Biden's Ohio numbers are encouraging.

87% in, 10mn votes, and Trump with a 130k/3% lead - Florida looks like it is more or less decided as most of the remainder are panhandle (deep red) counties who are 1hr later from the rest of the state.

Florida was a nice-to-win for Biden, but was absolutely crucial for Trump. That is a lifeline he absolutely needs.

    Trump 163,000 ahead in Florida.

Anyone got good sites for live results. As in just the data. CNN are doing my head in focussing on Florida.

That's been the case since this campaign began.

Reading that all night on here has been quite annoying.

Is that 90 percent of the entire vote that Florida has counted so far, because if it is, that's impressive. Wish every state did it Florida's way if so, or that they could do. Would be shorter and more decisive.

It's factually incorrect, but sure look.

Reading that all night on here has been quite annoying.

I was just posting what msnbc are saying. Ohio and Texas early are positive but early days. Biden is polling ahead of Clinton and Obama in major urban areas.

CNN fella at the computer needs to stop for breath

    Machines don't need to breath!

Really liking this guy, and I'm very surprised to see this coverage on CNN who usually love to turn politics into a reality TV event more than most.

    This is a great accompaniment/offset to Wolf "Florida!Florida!Florida!Florida!Florida!Florida!Florida!Florida!" Blitzer - https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/11/03/us/elections/results-president.html
