Bit harsh on Ronnie Whelan, the Liverpudlian accent is very strong, he’s been living there for over 40 years a twang was inevitable (he still lives there).

He doesn't really have a scouse accent compared to say Steve McManaman.

Steve McManaman makes Ronnie Whelan sound like Jacob Reece-Mogg.

I was listening to Maura Higgins recently, she seems to speak clearer than her love island days but in fairness that Midlands accent was laid on thick in her early days.
Bit of an english twang I thought too.

    An accent like no other

I always think that he sounds like he's putting the accent on but is badly let down by his poor "th" pronunciation.

Keith Andrews and a woman who talks about fashion in the mornings on Virgin 1(don't know her name but the accent is D4+++)

Awful, awful ads, probably no wonder the company went belly up.

Danny Healy Rae for his near unintelligible verbal

Noooo.....listening to him commentate on the All Ireland finals, with his unique turn of phase, smatterings of Irish thrown in and clear love of the game is uniquely Irish. I love it. All Ireland's have never been the same since. It's old school & no one matches it.

Mentioned him before but the poor old sod who does the traffic on DublinCityFM. He can’t pronounce his R’s whatsoever and it’s really grating. I know it’s not his fault but it’s difficult to listen to.

Has to be the chronically unfunny “comedian”Joanne Mcnally.
It’s honestly the worst accent I’ve ever heard.
The celebs born outside the pale who put on the accent when interviewed on American/uk tv also creep me out, Saoirse Ronan and C. O’Dowd come to mind.

Well ... yeah. McMananaman is a born and bred scouser. That’s why I said twang.

Katie Taylor - not so much her accent as her tone. Jesus i can't listen to her for 10 seconds, it's like having nails hammered into your ear drums!

Accent wise, possibly Mattie McGrath or one of the Healy Raes.

I really thought Deidre O Kane would have been the most popular choice.

It's not her accent that's annoying - it's her shrill tone and vocal intonation

Ah here, he's a wee National Treasure from Norn Iron so he is. Harmless old lad - bumped into him with my parents in Dun Laoghaire shopping centre back in the day - really warm and personable.

100%, her accent/voice is naturally condescending and insincere. I know she is supposedly a comedian so I assumed she put this voice on as part of her schtick. But I've heard her doing serious interviews and it's the exact same voice. Like nails on a chalkboard for me. Jennifer Zamparelli gets an honorable mention for the same reasons

    ...

Blindboy has more of a strong nasal Limerick city accent. I like it but could understand how it mightn't be everyone's cup of tea.
