I've said this in work a few weeks ago and colleagues ate the face off me as they said it would be a massive landslide for Biden...

Biden is a weak opposer and has no presence or personality.

Americans react to big booming personalities with slogans on tshirts and caps and chanting and cheering. Even if the personality is a total scumbag (Trump and McGregor for example)

If the democrats had a bigger personality with a catchy slogan ("yes we can" etc) they would see a more significant lead.

    I completely agree.
The yanks do love them larger than life personalities.

Sure, and I know this might sound weird mentioning it ... But let's look to pro wrestling of all things :)

Hulk Hogan, arguably the biggest star in wrestling, was the embodiment of it. Say your prayers, drink your milk, what you gonna do when the hulkster runs right over you. Haha. Dude even brought an American flag to the ring at points.

The democrats blatantly stole the election. In Michigan they stopped counting in the middle of the night and then boom Biden got 138 thousand votes with nobody else getting any. Of course rigging elections is what communists specialise at.

Let’s not forget Josh Shapiro the AG of PA said Trump would not be allowed to win the state.

Trump campaign adamant they will win Arizona, it would be some feat if they did. Hard to see, everyone thought it was done but the reported count is way off.

The Google map, which has been reliable, calling it Democrat with 84% of the vote counted and Biden leading 51% to 47.6% (1.41m votes to 1.31m votes).

The networks have been using the incorrect figures for the total count return all night. Fox called it for Biden based on that. CNN haven't called it yet.

But I'm not seeing any network or twitter account mention it, got a link?

Considering the collusion between Trump, Russia and organisations such as Cambridge Analytica, it's highly hypocritical to suggest Trump is immune from election rigging.

Even right now, Republicans are bringing motions to block or bin postal votes, essentially removing peoples right to vote.

This won't be settled for weeks folks. Trump's team will run with this voter fraud angle and i can absolutely guarantee you they will evidence to back their claims up. Very suspicious reports coming out from several states and it's already early doors.

27% of Florida's mail in ballots "went missing"

I was wondering about that order from the judge.

It hasn't been brought up since yesterday as I assumed, no one thought it would be this close. Miami-Dade really broke badly for Biden. It seemed suspicious. But hey, it was always a nice to win.

I've genuinely not been this entertained since I seen Independence Day for the first time back in the 90's.

The thing is, I'm gay with a load of friends in America. So I can't really enjoy all this the way I do Eurovision or something because whats on the ballot is whether somebody gets free rein to make the lives of people like me worse. Like, just tangibly, physically worse every day.

And I'm 35, I can tell you from experience that whether we like it or not Irish politics and society takes a lot of cues from the US, so everyday life in Ireland is tangibly crummier for a lot of people like me when somebody like Trump is centre stage in the US. It's not an abstract thing, it has a tangible effect on how people here behave towards people in minority groups.

I totally appreciate the fantasy football aspect to it, but watching an American election feels like the shotgun roulette thing from Saw for a lot of people. It sets the tone for the next four years of ~discourse all over the English speaking world, and real people do have to bear the brunt of it when it goes sour in very real ways.

    .

What's that big spike for Trump about a quarter of the way in to the graph on the right? Very very suspicious or maybe just maybe it's just the way they tabulate the votes and add votes to candidates total periodically.

Why is Pennsylvania so slow at counting and a bit of a mess?

Officials live on cbsn giving stupid excuses and talking in circles

A lot of states had counted the postal ballots before the in person voting had even closed. The Republicans stopped Pennsylvannia and a few others doing the same.

That's still going to happen. No matter who wins, the Brits are getting ridden rock solid by America when it comes to a trade deal. They'll be begging for scraps.
An expert was saying if British govt think that they can bargain with the US, forget it. US get everything their way, no discussion, or else the deal is off.

A lot of strange spikes happened in the counting around 4:30am in Bidens favor. If you look at the graphs it is almost a straight line up, especially the Wisconsin graph which had a big spike and looks like from that point the were no more trump votes which is fishy as hell.

    531742.png

And is it not at all explainable by the bulk of them being counted at that point and then less and less being counted as they run out.

The grasping for straws is insane.

Networks were giving it to Biden at 98% votes counted, it is actually closer to 86% of votes counted.

I would consider myself a centrist but it feels like there is no place for that anymore, you have to pick a side and go as far left/right as you can.

Not even slightly indicative of reality. Are the vast majority of people fascists or communists now? Of course not. The vast majority of people's political views range from centre left to centre right.

An error made it look like 98% of votes counted but it was actually only 86%.

I think we can all agree on one thing, turning up at a Polling station on the day and marking a piece of paper with pen or pencil will always be the best way to do things.
