I'd prefer Trump to win, but I bet Biden. Adds an element of excitement :P

Texas turning blue would be fascinating!

Can't see it happening, most of the urban centres are in, the vast swathes of rural votes aren't being seen yet and it's very close.

I think I would like to see Trump just to see the reaction and the upset.

Ohio and North Carolina is where it's at for now. A real dogfight.

It's the same in every state every time... when do people calm it? Ohio is very valid to talk about, it is closer than I thought it would be

NYT are saying Trump will take Texas. Bidens lead in urban areas are not enough.

There isn’t a hope in hell Texas will be blue

Trump will pull well clear now

If Biden takes Ohio the race appears to be over. He would only need Michigan and Wisconsin. He wouldn't even need Penn.

Here's a question, let's say Trump wins the election, but the Democrats take both the house and the senate.

Surely that means they'll just impeach him for anything and he's gone?

    Ron Brownstein:

Hard to know what's being counted when, but traditionally very Republican Hamilton County IN may offer some preview of how votes may sort out in Detroit, Philadelphia, Milwaukee suburbs: Romney was +34 in Hamilton, Trump +20 in 16; now he's +3 w/about 3/4 of the vote counted.

Can someone tell me how Biden won Virginia with fewer votes?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,336 ✭✭✭✭DrPhilG

Ohio still has 40% to count but currently in favor of Biden.

Biden's lead has dropped from an early 13 points to less than 6 though. Looks red.

No, you need a 2/3rd majority in the Senate.
