well i've been using NYT, you can click on a state for an estimated percentage of votes reported

    https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/11/03/us/elections/results-president.html

Georgia at 96% with around 4.8million votes cast.

That's not accurate, according to the AP, it's 99%+

61,000 odd votes left to count and allocate.

    61K left.

Not enough votes for Biden I reckon, will come up just short. Will be tight.

Am I right, 200k votes still to report in?

approx. trump: 2,432,426. biden: 2,413,836 = total in of 4,846,262 which is 96%.

    4% = ~201,927

Which states remain that haven't legislated to prevent faithless electors?

PA and GA have no laws against faithless electors https://www.fairvote.org/faithless_elector_state_laws

i think to count and to report are different. They don't report as they count. they will dump 200K ish when they are finished counting the 61K.

    yeah? :pac:

My maths is poor but around that. 190ish

In my mind its 61,000 more to count and when they are done they will submit 190k ish to the current totals.

Looks like it's a close one so if you were going by their current State percentages and taking a small swing towards Biden to cover for postal votes. All depends on how much of a swing so.

What is happening in Arizona? Trump campaign have been insisting throughout the last day or so that hey will take it. The numbers are getting a little too close for comfort.

there was a theory a while ago that trump will get the governor's to renominate the electors that would vote for him.

cant see the republican top dogs allowing that though. it would ruin the party and end in near civil war.

    No.

There is only circa 61k left I'm afraid.

CNN have said it 25 times now.

OK about 700K seems to be the agreed number of votes outstanding in PA.

It means in this case that if you put €63 on Biden, you would win €7, if he won the election.

If you put €63 on Trump, you would win €441, IF Trump won.

Basically, it means the bookies think Biden is a racing cert.

Basically odds are written as X / Y

And it means for every Y euro you bet, you get X from the bookies. (plus the €Y you bet)

So 6 / 1 for trump means you get €6 for every €1 you bet. (plus the €1 you bet)

So €100 bet would win you €600 and you'd get your €100 back so €700 altogether

1/9 for Biden means you get €1 for every €9 you bet (plus the €9 you bet)

So €90 bet would win you €10 and you'd get your €90 back so €100 altogether

The man himself said they had 200K left yesterday, which was when they last reported.

Again, there is a difference between what's left to count and what's left to report.

Yes, I'm listening, and they have not once mentioned the word report with the 61K, only count.

    What man?

If there is 200k left it would be reported, have you a link?

Say what you like about him but he is box office. I'll miss waking up in the morning to see what zany adventures he's gotten up to the previous day.

There's a reason that there is a record turnout and it's not Joe Biden. It's because people either love or hate Trump. Guarantee you, there won't be as big a turnout in 2024.

A record turnout, inspired by a desire to get rid of Trump. I suppose it is something to brag about if you are Trump supporting masochist.

It was a Georgia election official ON CNN who said it during a press conference! He even listed off the remaining totals in each county.

trump doesnt have the power to do that.

Link to where they say 99%+? Only today they posted an article saying they haven't called it because there's 4% left to count.

    To count or to report?

it doesnt really matter cos the counted ones have not yet been reported on. if you assume a reasonable ratio for the uncounted ones, apply that to the unreported ones and you end up in the same place.
