As it currently stands he's on track to win all the States the polls said he'd win , Florida was always in toss-up territory and given that there are suggestions that the USPS "lost" upwards of 300k mail-in votes there , it might have been a lot closer.

Also, a hundreds of thousands were disenfranchised for no paying fines. The people were overwhelmingly African American.

The Democrats weaponised it. Were currently in lockdown and can't travel more than 5k to save the hospitals from being over run with Covid and the Flu. We've no flu it's disappeared but Covid is still traveling, did they swap flight tickets or something.

If, by weaponised, you mean criticise the Trump administration for it's irresponsible handling of the pandemic, then yes, but most people would interpret that criticism as an appropriate response to Trump and acolytes going in half-cocked.

The Democrats have not used the pandemic to suppress the vote. Biden's message has been vote, vote, vote, and contrary to conspiracy theory that was not an instruction for individuals to vote multiple times. Trump supporters and Republicans in general were just as welcome to pick up an absentee ballot as anyone else, and vote. There's only been one side of this election calling votes into question on a monumental scale or messing with the postal system and it has not been Biden and the Democrats. It's been Trump and the Rep...., er, no actually the GoP establishment appears to be inching away from him while motioning to Donald and making a 'he's crazy' gesture.

Only because it wasn't a blue wave, but more just squeaking over the line (although the final EC votes will likely flatter in the end >300)

306 EC votes, the largest popular vote for the winner in history and a 5-8 million difference in the popular vote is pretty good going.

Nothing close about it, other than the order of the votes being counted over several days made it seem close.

It's extraordinary how badly Biden did in comparison to the polls thus no one is in any position to gloat.

Polls seem pretty accurate to me.

I gotta say I wouldn't be ready to concede North Carolina yet. All the networks have pretty much given it to Trump.
Trump holds a healthy 77, 000 lead but there could be 130, 000 votes yet to count, all mail ins. There's a guaranteed 116, 000.
If Biden hits 75% of them it's really tight. If there's another 14, 000 he wins.

The problem with North Carolina is that most of the remaining votes are from in person voting on election day so won't have the same percentage of pro Biden mail in votes.

It is fantastic, the Dems would have taken your hand off at the beginning of the year if you told them they would have a candidate who could beat an incumbent President who increased his vote from 2016.

The Democratic party have not had a good election - they've gone backwards in Congress, they haven't won the Senate. There doesn't appear to have been much appetite for "progressivism". Biden pulled them over the line in the Presidency by moving to the center and his team kept their eye on the key states.

More progressives have been elected...... So I would say you are wrong in that assertion. The "squad" is much bigger now.

So pleased I cashed out on my 225 euro bet on Paddy Power when I did :pac::pac: betted on Trump winning.

Made a 70 euro profit after election night and we were heading into the morning at this point, thanks Paddy Power :D

Made the right call, fair play. Cashing out can be difficult when you see the potential earnings staring back at you.

whether he has come outright and said it (and i dont think he has) it is clear he wont be running in 2024. He will be 82 by then.

Just need him to last 2 years so that Harris can then try for 2 terms.

The drunkmonkey fella cashed out too late. He was confident Trump had it in the bag, was looking at winnings of close to 1,500. The cash out was just under 1,000 at the time. He eventually cashed out at around 300 I think, so a 200 euro loss in the end.

Democrats' post-election 'family meeting' descends into chaos

Moderate House Democrats lashed out at their liberal colleagues Thursday, using a marathon caucus-wide conference call to bash progressives for advancing an agenda that, the centrists said, cost the party a number of seats in Tuesday's elections.

Weird how you keep saying that they've found more ballots in PA and yet the total number of estimated votes has remained stable.

Whats the joke? They havent even started counting the posted ballots received after election day yet.

If that happens Biden's lead could grow or shrink, either way there aren't enough late postal votes to change the outcome.

Trump is fine for the GOP, Cuomo is not well liked in Dem circles plus there's the rising left tide in the party, which will push gender and minorities.

Election official worked at poll station with Covid, then died
A Missouri election official who had tested positive for Covid-19 four days before the election worked at a suburban St Louis polling site, potentially exposing nearly 2,000 voters to the virus.

The person, who has since died, was an election judge at the Blanchette Park Memorial Hall voting station in Lake Charles, officials announced on Thursday, without identifying the person who died.

They added that the person had been advised after their positive test to quarantine for 14 days. The cause of death is unknown, they said.

The midwestern state has seen 200,042 infections, according to Johns Hopkins University. There have been 3,117 deaths recorded in Missouri, and 234,944 deaths nationwide.

    Oops.

Maybe in person voting wasn't such a good idea.

There was a court order issued to USPS to carry out an am and a pm sweep to ensure that all postal votes are collected and counted once they are date stamped within the cut off date. Whats so ridiculous about that ? Just ensuring all valid votes are registered and counted correctly.

In any normal election, it would be hard to see Harris getting a term as POTUS, but she'd be in with a decent shout if Trump decided to run again and got the Republican nomination.

Biden can pull in votes in part because he's ol' Joe. Harris could fall into the trap that Clinton did and come off as a bit morally superior and smug. The glassy-eyed, laughy interview that Harris did on 60 minutes wasn't a particularly endearing one and probably wouldn't be the kind of thing that pulls in disaffected Republicans in 4 years time.

If the Republicans could run someone like Paul Ryan again, or maybe even Dan Crenshaw, they'd probably win fairly handily against Harris.

It shows that DeJoy's attempts to suppress postal votes were successful in a limited way.

Doctors say Trump has a 50-50 chance of winning, though there's only a 10 percent chance of that.

I've been very suspicious about claims of voter fraud and election tampering but there actually does appear to be a case to answer to.....

There’s a reason why Republican legislatures in these states had it so Mail-ins would be counted last.
