Yeah this would have been a 1 round knockout if Biden wins Florida.

I frequently worry about what goes on in the mind of Floridians. The ex felon disenfranchisement, the ecological disasters from Big Sugar? Sheesh.

A lot of north-west counties to report in Florida yet, they will lean Trump big time.

Let's not get into political debates :p. Each side has their own interests

It is the only event in television I still watch and I still watch it on CNN. They just do a good job of it. For everything else, **** all of them. The coverage of the Newtown CT shootings was grotesque and that's been me of cable news for most of a decade. One night every 4 years.

Early votes must be early done and it's tight, you would imagine Trump will pull ahead from here on in.

Lads the early vote figures for Biden are not exactly spectacular. I thought they would break way heavier in favour of Biden. Puts the whole higher turnout = favors Biden on its head. It's gonna be a tight race!

    He's in trouble.

People have been saying this for a while now.

He needed much bigger early vote figures going in to stand a realistic chance.

This just didn't materialize for him. The base level of support is just not there for him. Trump is hugely popular. Nobody is getting excited about turning out to vote for Biden.

Biden is getting a lot more votes in Northern Florida than Clinton did, which bodes well for Georgia as Trump was very strong in 2016 there.

florida is gripping stuff. swinging back and forth.

    That's the other thing.

Trump could win in those counties and still have Biden votes right behind, to be made up elsewhere.

Same problem Biden has in Miami Dade apply to any county. You don't just win a county you win the # of votes so margins matter.

Wouldn't be surprised if Trump won at this stage.

A lot of north-west counties to report in Florida yet, they will lean Trump big time.

The panhandle is very rural and leans extreme Republican

Big factor mentioned by CNN: Most votes so far for Florida are in-person early votes.

Trump ahead in the popular vote too right now.

How cool would it be if he took the EC + popular vote too?

Early days obviously. Would be incredible if he could pull it off. :)

I mean if most of the early votes are for biden, he could close that 10% gap.

I can't go to bed now with almost 70% of Florida in, I'll have to wait until 100%.

Whoever wins Florida I reckon will win overall.

He's awesome. There's some impressive election night presenters on British and Irish tv like Peter Snow and pat Kenny but that guy is in a league of his own.

I will give 100 euro to any charity of your choice if Trump takes the popular vote
