Trump ahead in the popular vote too right now.

How cool would it be if he took the EC + popular vote too?

Early days obviously. Would be incredible if he could pull it off. :)

Not gonna happen, California will always offset it

Whoever wins Florida I reckon will win overall.

Biden almost certainly will. Trump a lot more to do though

Hard to say, Florida has been made Trump's home state and that effect may not permeate to other states.

It will be almost impossible for Trump without Florida - could be over soon :)

It will be a hammer blow to Trump if he loses Florida given Ron DeSantis's popularity there, I mean if he's ever going to win Florida it's now

New York times has Trump at 95% probability of winning Florida right now.

Luckily we'll never know how 'cool' it would be...

    Electoral Votes:

    Biden 16
    Trump 13

    270 to win. Tie improbable.

Trump will win Florida. They still have today's votes to go through. Republicans had a healthy turnout today as it is, better than expected.

No it isn't. Not by a long shot.

Florida is nice to have, not required.

It looks like Biden didn't distance himself enough from socialism in Florida.

Does it say anything about the polls overall? They've been consistent for Biden in florida, came down to 2 from 5 a month ago.

Remember, Green and Gold (3rd party) votes can take votes away from either candidate (half glass empty etc)

It looks like Biden didn't distance himself enough from socialism in Florida.

Given how far he is from anything even approaching socialism it illustrates how reactionary many of those in South Florida are...

if nyt's has trump > 95% it's over in Florida. Solid start for Trump

NYT: Nate Cohn, in New York 5m ago

Trump is doing way better than '16 in Hispanic and Cuban areas, and better in Black areas. Biden is doing better in older, white areas, but not by as much.

    Fair play to him.

The turnout in this election is such that I think it would be hard for most reasonable people to contest the outcome, counting every vote.

His campaign really lived or died on taking Florida and fair play to him for holding on to it. (Assuming Biden doesn't fluke it now)

It looks like Biden didn't distance himself enough from socialism in Florida.

Socialism is all about closeness and inclusiveness.

Making everyone equal, right? (sorry left)

Equally poor, and collectively hungry! :D
