    Another stupid decision
You mean the penalty? You're surely joking? Defenders are well aware they're not able to run in the box with their arms out when someone will be looking to cross.

    Pen Leicester

    Justin earns Leicester another pen.

    Patricio saves from Vardy!

Ah here, he was running. Your arms come out when running

    Was an awful decision

That's true but there's little consistency. Brighton didn't get one yesterday when the same thing as Kilman happened to Taylor.

Defenders like the rest of us have no idea of this stupid new rule.

Was a poor enough penalty. Vardy always likely to miss from the spot

You can't run like a headless chicken in the box when you know someone is going to cross. Defenders across the league know that, and Kilman has let his inexperience get the better of him.

Because his record is that bad for his club - only 85% success rate....

They do though. When people get caught out with these ones, 90% of the time, its one of these inexperienced defenders or one of those 'defenders' who are employed much more for their footballing qualities than their defensive ones.

Absolute joke of a decision by the ref to award that as a penalty. But in fairness what could we expect from the man who has awarded the most penalties this season.

They just showed on Sky the ref only looking on the monitor at the handball in slow motion. He should be watching in normal speed too.

Was a poor penalty. Usually fairly reliable in fairness.

Ah the way this week is going for me I'm not surprised.

All my 50-50s went against me. Incredible really. Guess they weren't 50-50s :pac:

Maybe he should have. I don't think it would change much though. This boll*x that comes out for nearly penalty these days of, thats how footballers run, thats how footballers jump stuff.

That may well be so, but they know they're not allowed in the box where their doing so, might hinder an attacking chance. They all know exactly how to defend to avoid giving these penalties away.

It is extremely rare that players intentionally handle the ball on the box. Those ones are the red card offences. All the other penalty handballs come from defenders not defending how they were coached to defend.

Can you honestly tell me that Kilman didn't know that Praet was likely to cross the ball there?

Are you seriously trying to claim that it was a legitimate penalty ? Are you listening to the match on the radio or have you actually seen it ?

This is part of the horse$hit that came out earlier in the season until the referees were allowed to use a bit of cop on.

This travesty of a decision is a throwback to the first few games of the season which were an absolute $hit show and had everyone, coaches, players, pundits, fans up in arms over this nonsense.

I love the way Carragher says that the arm is his momentum following through and where else is he suppose to put it, but if there is a tackle and you follow through and break someone's leg, he would be first to say it's a red card - and forget about momentum following through...

Defenders know the rules and only have themselves to blame.

Why not change the rule for a handball that is not clear and obvious? An indirect free kick from a designated position?

Nah, this was a penalty last season where the ref wasn't incredibly weak. Nobody thinks any handballs are penalties anymore.

Kilman knows exactly what Praet is going to do there and doesn't react in time. Saiss probably does not make the same mistake there.

If the rules were that you can't give away a penalty for handball when sprinting or jumping, that would be a whole different story, but rightly that is not the case.

The rule is whether the arm makes the body shape bigger, and it unquestionably does.

VAR has made people much more contrary in relation to refereeing decisions. Every offside and handball has people up in arms now after a few crazy ones were given at the start of the season.

Nah, this wasn't a penalty last season (or any other season) unless referees were incredibly blind.

It became a penalty this season for the first few games, but until Anthony Taylor today (a lad who hands out penalties very easily) it looked like we had thankfully moved away from this nonsense.

I hope this incredibly poor decision today doesn't see a return to those early days of the season.
