Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

An ad for carers popped up on my iPhone of a hand holding a walking stick. The way it was photographed I initially thought it was literally hard porn.

I don't think they really write most of their songs or even play instruments on them though?
A lot of other boy bands have more involvement like take that.
But obviously to each their own.

    What do you mean?

Music and songs and sounds is a subjective thing..

Rolling Stones, for example: could never listen to them.

    Never got the Rolling stones.

Do you remember the thread on Boards years ago about the drunk girl in Temple Bar on a video she kept going on about her Father being the highest earning partner in KPMG ?

It got deleted as KPMG didn't think it reflected well on their corporate image

Is a company manufacturing hand sanitizer during a pandemic worthy of a €15k prize?

That's sort of the point. They just sang (ha!) songs written by the same blokes who wrote Britney Spears, Katy Perry etc etc songs. And played no instruments.

They have some brilliant songs and a seriously charasmatic front man but yeah in fairness they haven't had a good album in about 40 years...lol

Part of the golden circle jerk I'd guess.

"We had a visionary idea to distill hand sanitiser as it cost more than whiskey at that time"

I fairness it was needed but how much did they charge /make.

I must be getting older, as I am annoyed they didn't showcase any lovely chutneys or relishes. We aren't all mad for seaweed.

Joe Duffy was trying to do a hatchet job on KPMG recently on Liveline. He must have lost money or something.

Ah yeah that's fair enough I get ya.
I just tend to connect more I guess if the people performing it created it usually, but it's a personal thing.

At this stage, even a footkick or elbow tap is quite nice and acknowledges your actual existance. Am on site alot and it, for obvious reasons has become so robotic and impersonal.

True but the songs they wrote in the 15 years before that makes them the best rock n roll band in history!

Ah yeah probably one of them anyway.
I still adore fleetwood mac but I know there couple of new albums from the 90s on aren't at that rumours, tango in the night, level.

Still brilliant live though, I managed to see them with Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham!

    OMG these poor "artists"...

Everyone else on 200/350 a week.

So out of ****ing touch it boils my piss.

It's all about live shows, it's well reported that likes of Spotify pay around €3 for every 1000 plays of a song which isn't much if you don't have a big fan base. Its really the less known bands and singers that play to a couple of hundred people that are feeling this the worst
