    Have you asked any?

    No, but NBC news did:
But late Wednesday, Obama released a statement seizing on Biden's use of the word "articulate."

"I didn't take Sen. Biden's comments personally, but obviously they were historically inaccurate," Obama said. "African-American presidential candidates like Jesse Jackson, Shirley Chisholm, Carol Moseley Braun and Al Sharpton gave a voice to many important issues through their campaigns, and no one would call them inarticulate."

Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson said Wednesday night, "It was a gaffe. It was not an intentional racially pejorative statement. It could be interpreted that way, but that's not what he meant."

"Did you witness any evidence of voter fraud or illegal vote tampering?"
"No, but I didn't NOT witness any evidence either."
    "Sounds pretty conclusive to me."

    Have you asked any?

    Jake Tapper did too:
"When I heard his comments I thought Joe Biden was referring to a bygone era," said Donna Brazile, the former campaign manager for Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign and a prominent African-American political consultant. "Years ago when white folks referred to black people with education they often used words like articulate. To suggest they were different, they were acceptable. That they were OK as compared to rest of African-Americans.
"They are loaded words," Rev. Jesse Jackson told ABC News. "And that's why he should interpret what he meant by those loaded words. It was an attempt I thought to diminish Barack's attributes and dismissive of our previous campaigns that made Barack's candidacy possible."

Jackson said Biden's remarks "could be divisive."
Asked if Biden meant to be complimentary, Obama said, "I'm not going to parse his words that carefully."

I wouldn't be surprised if she kinda let the story get away from her but then checked herself when put in front of a camera.

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-election-2020/us-election-results-news-live-biden-trump-map-b1721639.html
Donald Trump’s lawyers in Arizona have pulled out of a suit challenging part of the US election vote counting process in Arizona’s Maricopa County.

A judge granted Snell & Wilmer’s request to withdraw as counsel of record for the Republican National Committee, which together with the Trump campaign and the Arizona Republican Party had brought legal action alleging the county incorrectly rejected a small number of votes cast on election day.

It came amid claims Mr Trump was “very aware there is not a path to victory” over Joe Biden – which did not prevent the outgoing president from continuing to spread false and misleading claims on Twitter on Thursday.

Gas that Biden will have slightly misplaced words torn to shreds and ruminated over whilst Trump can mock the disabled, be openly racist, support white supremacists and people just shrug and move on. Two people held to a completely different set of standards but vying for the same position. Its like having a soccer match where one side only gets to use their head and the other can play rugby.

There was a coterie of right wing and centrist commentators who delighted in calling the left-wing out on their refusal to accept Brexit and the last US election result, pointing to the intolerance and totalitarianism of the left-wing. I didn’t have much problem with them criticising that but most of them have gone remarkably quiet in the last week as they realise non-acceptance of election results isn’t necessarily a partisan issue. The only one I’ve seen criticise Trump and his supporters for same is Brendan O’Neill.

I think the truth could be that this is simply the best that they have which is scary how much chaos is being sown on the back of 'I didn't directly see or hear anything'.

A chap on the Matt Cooper show tonight commented that you can only make sense of it all if you accept that Trump and his loyal base are a cult.
If you read comments on social media pages like Dan Bongino you can see it first hand. They unquestionably believe he is a god loving true patriot. I’ve never seen the likes of it. It’s scary stuff.

Near sure it's an opinion talk show.. I don't know how she failed so badly at speaking she had papers in her hands.. surely she'd do a Donald and have things in bullet points and know what to say..

Kayleigh McEnany, appearing on Fox with her 2020 campaign hat on, asked today about Biden having access to the intelligence briefings - she referred the question to the White House, where she still works as press secretary but she seems to have forgotten that.

I didn’t think so many people who live In a nation known for its democracy and freedom can abandon its very core beliefs in support of one individual with highly questionable morals amongst other character flaws.

The fact that a genuinely terrible human being who is willing to ignore basic concepts of democracy and free speech could amass that much support doesn't scare you?

    This man:
    1. Fired anyone who dared contradict or speak out againt him.
    2. Designated the press the enemy of the people
    3. Advocated assault on protesters at his rallies.
    4. Called women 'fat pigs' and the famous 'grab em by the you know what line.
    5. Repeatedly lied about his own accomplishments and denied other peoples at the same time.
    6. Pushed and permitted the use of federal troops with no markings to arrest protestors without due process.
    7. Appointed his own family members to key government and security positions.

If I wrote the above list and didnt tell you what country it was you would probably say Russia. And this man, in a democratic country, has developed a cult of personality to the point where millions voted for more of the same. That should terrify people.

Ivanka probably took the phone off him so he couldn't tweet that they were losers for being killed.

It is outrageous and terrifying, especially in the context of a POTUS where you expect a higher standard of personal and professional character.

The problem is that people only have so much tolerance for being terrified. It's a draining emotion. Eventually, they get numb to it, or it just becomes normalised. This has worked to Trump's advantage - he's the same man as he was 4 years ago, but we're so used to his words and actions that they just aren't as shocking. To shock us, he has to do worse stuff, still, and eventually that becomes normalised as well. Down and down the slope we go, until you have posters arguing that, yes, those Antifa protestors must be executed without trial. They just pose too much of a danger...

To be fair, it's scary that such a huge cohort if people are so susceptible to believing lies from a guy who is having a mental crisis because his ego has been bruised.

Make no mistake, if someone more charismatic and dangerous than Trump comes along decades down the line, its worrying how easily these people can be manipulated.

    A "Republican President" attacking Fox.

Holy Shít, we really are Through the Looking Glass.

Its great to see though, right/far right in disarray and turning on each other. Trump needs Fox more than they need him.

Because many of us studied history in school and felt glad that we lived in a time where the hatred and division which led to WWII and the deaths of about 85M people could no longer happen.

And now, we have seen 4 years of Trump being acrimonious, divisive, insulting, racist and xenophobic as well as being completely incompetent in how he handled the covid pandemic and yet 70M people looked at all that and said, yes please, let's have 4 more years of that.

And now, the zealots, such as Bongino, and James Woods, and Tomi Lahren among others are fanning the flames and telling him not to surrender and saying that 'the people won't take this any more'.

We see some such people react to his 'LIBERATE MICHIGAN' tweets by putting a plan in place to kidnap and kill the governor of that state.

So, it's not like there's groups gathering to take over towns, or counties etc, but, we're closer to such a place than we are to where we thought it never could happen in the USA in the 21st century.

It's premature aging caused by the stress of having to defend the indefensible every time she's on TV. Same thing happened to Kellyanne Conway.

Trump wouldn't be dumb enough to start slinging the nukes around. Even if he wanted to do it, all you'd have to would be remind him that his casinos could be destroyed in the ensuing exchange, and he'd back right down.
