I’ve only been watching cnn , so it may be a network bias, but I never thought I’d see news anchors openly calling a potus a liar and other names and generally sticking the knife in at any chance.

    they're not wrong though

I've been dropping in and out of Fox today cause it's the only American news network I can access and since Biden was called as President elect they have been far from critical of Biden and even wished him and Kamala wishes and have made plenty of negative comments as to how Trump ran his campaign. I always thought they were a mad pro republican station but not getting that vibe off them.

In truth, if you exclude the "Celebrity" presenters , Fox is a fairly generic, albeit right leaning News channel.

it's Hannity, Carlson,Pirro, Ingraham and Bartiromo etc. are the source of all the utter crap.

The best comparison would be Gore. If they truly are compiling data and presenting to the courts on Monday (I'm not naive I know it is likely frivolous) then he has no obligation to do so. It's Trump so it'll never be gracious, but people are assuming he won't leave office but I'm certain once he exhausts the courts he will step down but continue tweeting about it forever more.

I have serious concerns that he won't admit to having lost the election and if he doesn't do that then the logical follow-on is to proclaim himself President-in-Exile with his office not in the White House but at the top floor of Trump Tower. And then if the DoJ comes after him on the various charges he's facing, he can say it's an attempt by the deep state to round up its political enemies starting with the top man himself. If his supporters subscribe to the current paper-thin conspiracy about mail-in voter fraud then they'll certainly subscribe to the scenario I've laid out.

I would say the incoming administration could try to ignore this craziness and moronity but there are too many of them.

I can show you similar images for Trump, only it's his own daughter, Ivanka, the one he's on record as wanting to....

That's why I said both of them were horrible choices. And yet Biden is getting championed like he's Mr Clean

I have to admire Trump for playing golf today. I made a **** up in work a few weeks ago and my Sunday game was destroyed because of it. To go and play today with all this **** going on shows balls of steel/neck like a jockey’s bollox.

Hardly surprising as he has treated journalists like absolute filth. I'm actually looking forward to when Trump actually grows a pair and tries to face them down again he will be savaged.
Regarding the scenes of Bidens win its like the end of Star Wars when the Death Star was blown up....amazing scenes of spontaneous joy.
Kayleigh McEnanys tweet on the crowds gathering is just pure joy.

Can people stop throwing the word Peadophile around like its nothing. It is insulting to victims to see it used willy nilly.
Peadophiles are not stupid enough to do anything while there's cameras on them.
Take it from me, it's the ones that are funny and laughing and joking and everyone loves because they're so funny, they say more and more risqué things but everyone let's it slide because sure he's only messing, he's a WUM.
Peadophiles groom everyone around them so nobody suspects them.

Christ, he's an at times awkward old man. To accuse him of whatever you are accusing him of on the basis of a couple of awkward interactions in public, and no actual allegations, make you the sicko in my eyes.

I'd say there have been a few drops taken tonight in celebration or in disappointment. I am in the first cohort. About time to crack open that Hennessy for something worth celebrating this year. Good health everyone.

Four years of a decent gentleman and a female VP to come. Sounds good to me anyway.

Analyses can wait. We have decency restored for now. Delighted.

I don't agree with that interpretation of events tbh

He got some things right, but a broken clock is right twice a day.
But my point is - I think it's beneficial to not get bogged down in Trump any more. He's gone. We could argue all day about good Vs bad, we might convince each other about some points, but generally, probably not.

What IS important is what appealed about him. What was missing. Why do people feel he resonated (again ignoring the argument of whether or not he cared) and what can be done to improve the situation.

Similarly, Trump definitely did destroy lots of parts of society. Trump fans have to try and understand that it's not acceptable to disown the media* etc they too represent the views of real people and u can't all be 'fake' just because the message is different.

There are major issues with journalism, but no where near what has been painted for Trumps gain.

Yes I didn't mean to get too deep into the 'what has he done' just trying to make the point that it wasn't pure bluster hence the result of this election wasn't as bad despite him being hit with once-in-a-century plague & pestilence.

I know Trump did damage but I'm telling you the major issues with journalism are not something that can be addressed, it's such a deep rot. I remember back when he said the press is the enemy of the people I had the same reaction as most knowing the significance of the phrase and being like 'oh f*ck here we go' However, over the years I've realised just how right he was. Two things can be true, it is dangerous to say it and it can also be true.

Now if I come across as an unreasonable zealot to you then so be it, but that's my opinion now - and it's the opinion of anyone I've seen that is in any way supportive of him as well as a big chunk of people in the bernie/populist camp on the left.

And i can guarantee If faced with a real life Peadophile, the poster would never suspect and even accuse the victim of lying because they'd be so sure the person wasn't a peado.

If you want to throw around accusations of being a perv, it's no contest.

    https://www.indy100.com/article/donald-trump-ivanka-inappropriate-daughter-9594016

And these were only the times he was publicly inappropriate with his own daughter, never mind other women, bragging about grabbing 'em by the pussy, 'accidentally' wandering into the beauty pageant dressing rooms while the girls were changing (at least one underage), multiple rape allegations, including one by his ex-wife Ivana.

He's clearly grabbing at a young girl's breast on a video with a Million views and I'm a sicko for posting it here?

    Wow

They're both scumbags. The loser today was America

Is the ridiculous Irish response to this election out of hatred for Trump or a weird love for America?

It is frankly beyond cringe some of the stuff at this stage.

How is it ridiculous ? Many Irish people, including myself have scores of family and friends in the US, enjoy visiting for holidays abd for business and in addition are acutely aware of the influence and negative impact he’s had on his country, it’s people, it’s reputation globally and the problems he’s overseeing and influencing at home and abroad ... look at the fûcking election for christ sake... you never saw scores of gun nuts with Clinton, Romney, Bush, Obama T-shirts with M-16’s outside polling stations. They are there for Donald Trump and because of him... it’s anti democratic, it’s dangerous, it’s an attempt to bully and intimidate.... 1000% in the Trump style....the people have had enough of that, as he and his mob are finding out.

It's probably simply because Murdoch has no further use for Trump, and has made it known to those running Fox.
