I am a bit mystified by some posters that have appeared recently on commercial (paid for) advertising hoardings around Dublin.

They are white posters which say "Drugs are not class, they are upper middle class." They do not carry any attribution.

Do people have any idea who is behind them?

    Haven't seen them OP.

I'd there a picture or symbol on the poster or is it just the narrative.

This? It's one of the lyrics.

Yes I think that "for those I love" is also on the poster.

    However there is nothing else.

Could it be a promo for the song?

I thought you were talking about the 90's health board "Smile, you're on heroin" ad posters with the rotten toothed drug addicts smiling that I remember being on buses and billboards back then.

It sounds like some some upper middle class champagne socialist blaming lower social class drug crime on his own demographic.

There's a lot of that kind of think going on in the UK at the moment in relation to London's knife crime problem in case one might think I'm not being serious.

There's an element of truth in that viewpoint, though. I know more guards and lawyers who smoke grass and do coke than I do unemployed. In fact, I never even knew anybody who did coke before I moved out of Dublin 1.

Did you even witness this activity in licenced premises or evidence of it in Dublin 1.

Yes, of course I did, but I'm talking about friends and acquaintances here. Nobody I grew up with was into the sneachta. Moved out into the suburbs and it's literally everywhere.

Get back in your box for a second there and put your thinking cap on. Out of all the people snorting coke in the jacks in pubs in the city centre......how many of them are locals, do you reckon, and how many are only there because it's, ya know, the middle of the city?

    Poor people don't do coke.
Junkies and homeless people don't either.
Middle class yuppie-types out for a few pints with the boyz, though?

Edit: Forgot to add, the whole point of my original point was the hypocrisy. People are being jailed for what their jailors and legal representatives are getting up to as well.
