Can't remember how many he should have won, it seemed repetitive there for a while

    Off the top of my head;

    2010 and 2015 US Open
    2011 Open

Maybe 2010 and 2020 PGA too

Majors aren't easy to come by...

Sometimes your luck is in sometimes it's not.

No they were fault of either:
    - the caddy,
    - the wind,
    - the mud
    - the camera man.

Select any one, (or two), from the above.

It's so frustrating as he's got so much talent

Only 5 months to Augusta 2021, who's to say he won't go back to back.

JT's body language terrible here. Head completely gone.

    He must go back first!!!

    Nicely put. Haha.

If that does transpire, I'm sure he won't be long getting over it.
    It is DJ after all...

Looks like he will from here.
If he doesn't it will be some turnaround.

Rahm never recovered from the double bogey on the 8th.

True. But look at his card -2 for the rest of the round!

DJ was just magnificent. Totally flawless golf. Never out of position all day. Would love to see him canter home seeing as Rory and Shane are too far back.

No MDF (second cut), all R3 players are listed in the R4 tee times. They could have reduced the field to 50 at even par or better but didn't do so.

    Tiger with shane again tomorrow

DJ is really 6 ahead in my eyes, cant see any of the lads at -12 or Fritelli troubling him. If one of them makes a run I think it'll be Smith.

I reckon DJ wins by at least 5

Dustin to win this in the 20s I reckon

Not run by the PGA Tour. Masters have their own rules.

I'm aware that Augusta National set the rules. The format was for the cut to be the top 50 and ties. At the end of the third round there was exactly 51 players on par or better and with DJ on -16, I don't think anyone would have been shocked if the players above par were sent home MDF.

Rory, Brooks & Fleetwood out together for one of the more intriguing groups.

I think DJs talent deserves a win but I just hope there is drama enough to make it interesting.

Speith threw away a 5 shot lead on the back 9 in 2016. I don't want that to happen DJ per se but at least a sweat so that its not an effective foregone conclusion too early.

Just to add, DJ is still a slight favourite circa 53% vs the field if he shoots a 73, anything 71 or better has him as 85%+ fav

I'm not sure if I ever recall seeing an MDF in a major? Wouldn't have thought it was likely here.

Interesting that they don’t have the hole in one pin position on 16 today

Slight delay on the times due to fog

Great. I was annoyed to be missing some of it due to the munster final. I'll miss a little less now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

That was a big missed chance for a perfect start for Rory.

Neither have you seen a major played in November. Or the field teeing off in threes from the 1st and the 10th on Sunday. Different times.

The Masters format this year did not include the provision that anyone within 10 shots of the lead would make the cut. So there was speculation that they might do a second cut on Saturday if a lot more than 50 made the Friday cut. In order to ensure they didn’t run out of daylight on Sunday. I know they can deal with a bigger field by starting earlier but a bigger field carries the risk of a bigger backlog if there’s a delay caused by weather.

Hey all. Anyone have any fresh links to watch the golf. Would be greatly appreciated. Via PM if needed.

Would be nice if they showed the leaders teeing off.....

Is hole 3 the best hole on the front 9? For a short one it's tricky

Everyone talking about Rahm falling apart yesterday. JT's collapse has been far worse. Head went yesterday and he still hasn't recovered.
