I currently have Virgin Media 240 broadband, Sky Q (main and mini box). From looking online, I can get broadband from several providers.

I had been leaning towards pure telecom. Either that, or see what form of a bundle I can get out of sky.

Is there much of a difference in the various providers hardware? I already have a mesh network setup, so whatever I have will feed into that.

If you have a mesh setup, it wouldn't matter. You might even be able to use your mesh directly if it can route eg deco.
Beware VF still has a FUP, pure is unlimited I think. Sky charge an installation fee. Then there's digiweb, airwire, carnsore, Kerry, nova, westnet etc etc
