Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So I have foolishly done what it seems a few have done before me and ordered a freeview box rather than freesat.

Whilst I have an aerial that used to pick up British channels, that is some time ago so I think I will just have to return when it arrives.

Can anyone advise of any decent new freesat receivers that can also record as I am mainly seeing refurbished ones?

This was the box I ordered in case anyone is worried they will make the same mistake!

I have been using a Humax for a few years now and I have no complaints. Humax are not making Freesat boxes any more, a company called Arris have the franchise but these boxes appear to have some teething issues, so a second hand or refurbished Humax might be a safer bet at the moment

It's bit of a strategic disaster by Freesat that they have one botched box so choices are terrible - as said look for a late Humax as they are the most numerous.

Everyone seems to say to go with refurbed Humax. Is amazon the safest bet for purchasing one?
