I'm going for The Black Keys here. Something a little bit different from the remainder.

Lady Gaga - The Edge Of Glory 6 7 The Black Keys - Gold on the Ceiling

Psy over Muse and Black Keys over Gaga.
I don't like you at all right now. . .

Rihanna - We Found Love (feat. Calvin Harris) ; I don't dislike the Birdy one, but it's unlikely I'll ever vote for it, and I'm in a party mood now that fun are dealt with, so this is more appealing.

Alexandra Stan - Mr. Saxobeat ; like both, don't mind seeing either go through, but in keeping the party momentum going, it's Mr. Saxobeat for me

Regina Spector - All the Rowboats ; again, like both, but Miley already has Wrecking Ball in the running, and variety is the spice of life, so going with Regina

Sia - Chandelier ; another two solid ones here, but Chandelier is one of the decade defining songs, so has to be Sia over Dermo here...

    Regina Spektor

    Sia

    Sorry :(

    Birdy

    Rag’n’bone man

Regina Spector - do people realize how good that syncopated beat box is while she plays piano *at the same time* and then, the poetic theme of museums being prisons for art. It’s just so unique compared to 90% of the songs here.

I’ll be perfectly honest this is the last truely good song remaining in this contest

    Oh, and Sia I suppose

    Birdy - Wings
    Rag'n'Bone Man - Human
Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop
    Sia - Chandelier

Hmmmm.. Sawduck's vote was right on the buzzer.

    Thanks Necro really enjoyed it.

Can't get over that Gangnam style is still in it though.

Looking at the what remains, I'm thinking a Wrecking Ball vs Chandelier finale could potentially be the outcome, and would be a very interesting final showdown

I haven't done the draw yet but I think the last 16 might be the end of Psy.

But hey, what do I know I thought Titanium was gonna walk this based on nominations and it got roflstomped by Miley Cyrus :pac:

If I weren't dying from a severe headache all day and able to vote, I would of voted for 30STM. I really like that song.

    Have you seen what’s left?

Yes, among them my personal favourite, and my tip for comp winner. There is nothing worse than Gangnam Style. It has proceeded in this competition further than it should.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,070 ✭✭✭bogman_bass

Not saying it’s the best song ever but literally all the good songs have been knocked out.

At least Gangnam style was an iconic snapshot in time

Not literally at all. I could name 3 or 4 off the top of my head, and "best" is just a matter of taste and the whole point of the comp.

At least Gangnam style was an iconic snapshot in time
The Birdie Song, Shut upaya face, that thing by Terry Wogan, were all iconic snapshots as well as being the musical equivalents of flatulence.

Only came across this now, hard to believe some of the songs still left in it, some aren't even the best song the artist had in the decade, obviously some protest voting against certain songs and artists, which I actually encourage lol, but, can lead to some crap songs getting through. Glad to see Adele didn't make the list, would certainly have been voting against her songs regardless who was up against her.

Alice Merton - No Roots ; voting for the dark horse and underdog tune of the tournament

Sia - Chandelier ; tough one, both great, bit this could be a winner

The Black Keys - Gold on the Ceiling ; I think Jar of Hearts is only just fine

Rachel Platten - Fight Song ; one of my favourites left, and Miley has a better song still in the running
