Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just got external balance flue re-routed with new white plastic coated piping and want to paint black or dark grey. Has anyone done this or can recommend a paint spec ?

Any high temp paint will do. There are various BBQ paints that will also do the job spray or in can. Blacks a good choice.

Thanks for that. Bit worried about adhesion to plastic, any need to prime or might roughen up a bit with light sandpaper ?

Only the manufacturer will answer this for you. You prob don’t need high temp either if it’s a condensing boiler.

    Does it get hot?

No, doesn't get hot. Balance flue concentric pipe so outer chamber sucks cold air in and central chamber blows fumes out. Will get warm I guess at outlet grill though I'd say.

An adhesion primer like Zinsser 123 would probably be safer, and the 2 coats of gloss.

    Plastic balanced flue?

Plastic coated steel I'd say or maybe just a paint coating.
