Hey folks, just holding on for black friday but was wondering, apart from the potential cost difference between purchasing in euro vs sterling,  is there any additional differences such as rte player not being available or specific apps not working in ireland vs England etc? No saorview/freeview etc? I'm based in the west of Ireland.

Are they shipped from the same warehouse?

Also side question, but its possible I may be purchasing a smaller tv along with my bigger purchase on the day. If I do this with Richersounds would you be open to knocking a bit more off the price?

    Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't worry about that. I got an LG OLED TV from them last week and paid in Sterling and it shipped from their Manchester warehouse and it had the RTE player preinstalled and Saorview is working in Westmeath. I think the only main difference is shipping is free with Euro and discount codes only work with the sterling. The sterling worked out better for me as I was able to apply a discount code so it all depends on what works out best for you. Their service is amazing and only took 2 days from their Manchester warehouse

    Hi Guys,

@Loughrey - thanks for the kind words and support but please allow us to answer posts in the first instance to avoid the possibility of any Customer getting information that is not 100% RS policy - this is a commercial forum and operated slightly differently to general Boards forums - again thanks for the Customer feedback but we would prefer to answer the OP's queries regarding specification, our logistics and our pricing policies.

    @Joe123,

thanks for the post and apologies for the delay getting back to you - We only deal with UK / IRL manufacturers, we don't do any TV 'grey' imports from Europe which would have weird specifications - all our TV's are suitable for the UK and ROI markets - however you mention Freeview and Freeview is a UK only system and it is not available in the ROI.

On the Apps front - we never guarantee specific apps as Apps are included and operate completely outside our control and can be added, amended or removed from any app store outside our control - specifically Apps may be regional based and Geo-locked, so for instance you will not be able to use BBC player or many UK based catch-up apps.

In terms of discount - You can always ask :D - but TV margins are wafer thin and that's before we factor in the cost of our 6 Year TV guarantee - but again do pop us the query and we will always do our best to assist.

In terms of warehousing and logistics - we do not ship everything from Manchester - much of our stock comes out of our own local warehouse in Belfast so it is difficult to be definitive about where any order will ship from in advance - it all depends on the model, availability and of course the location of the Customer.

Thanks again guys and don't hesitate to drop us a line if we can ever assist in any way,

    ATVB,

So do your TV's come with Saorview then?

    Thanks

    Hi Naos.

Yes, you can tune in Saorview to the televisions that we stock.

You will not get an UK services if you live in the South Of Ireland as these are region locked.

    I hope this helps.

Any questions please let us know.

    Kenny.
