You absolutely are defending harassment. You think its perfectly ok for Linehan to steal pictures of women from an app and to publicly display these pictures for mocking. Shameful. Disgusting.

Like it or not, images shared publicly on websites or apps are no longer private, while it may not be nice for someone to be mocked (or as is the case here being publically called out for the absolute bollox of a man claiming to be a lesbian on a dating platform) it is not theft or harassment.

Uploading photos to dating apps is literally asking strangers to judge your looks, if you don't want to be judged (often harshly) then don't sign up for these apps.

    Shock horror !

I'd imagine the men claiming to be lesbians will be off to the pink news to cry about the transpobic lesbians who don't want to sleep with a hetro male , while on here the Lesbians will be labelled bigots for not wanting to sleep with a man

Please do. I have yet to see one. I am completely happy and even very eager to loudly condemn anyone who would post in public or private that trans people should be killed. That would be absolutely vile and disgusting, and a hate crime that should attract punishment, in my opinion.

I presume you feel the same way about people posting publicly that people of the Terven tribe should be killed.

You’ve yet to see one? You actually replied to the post where I originally posted this and other abusive tweets.

    You’ve definitely seen them...

Nah. Graham Linehan openly mocked women displaying their photos and mocking comments. Its absurd and laughable to suggest this is not harassment. It definitely is harassment. Nice bit of victim blaming there from you too.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Don't make out to be some defender of women ,when your happy to label any woman who disagrees with you a bigot and transpobe

Its obviously harassment but its also just really sad. A fifty year old man has become so obsessed with being cruel to trans people that he signs up for an app which is specifically a platform for queer women, just to mock and share screenshots like a snickering bully. I can't imagine dedicating my time to anything more a waste of time (and I post on here for godsakes).

Glinner is the uncle your family doesn't talk about anymore.

Women or transwomen? Or do you believe there is no difference?

If glinner has identified as a woman on that site, then you are misgendering them.

Gender identity. It's gone completely bonkers, it really has.

    Here's one to consider.
Alex is a biological male with a proper beard and no sex change procedures who identifies as a lesbian woman who seeks sexual relationship with a lesbian woman. Alex chooses not to put up a profile picture on the dating app for privacy reasons. Profile says:
    Sex: Female
    Preference: Female
    Age: 35
    Body Type: Athletic

Alex the biological male with a proper beard and no sex change procedures who identifies as a lesbian woman receives response from Regina who is interested in meeting other lesbian women.

Regina is a biological male with a moustache and has had no sex change procedures. Regina chooses not to put up a profile picture on the dating app for privacy reasons. Profile says:
    Sex: Female
    Preference: Female
    Age: 32
    Body Type: Cuddly

They both arrange to meet when covid restrictions are relaxed. Anyone see a problem here with self identifying as something you are biologically not?

It's different if someone is at some stage or has completed a transition, but to call oneself a woman when you have a penis and intend to keep it is...to me...ridiculous. Likewise for a biological woman with no plans to transition is just a woman calling herself a man in my (and most others) opinion.

I don't intend to offend anyone here, but logic and fundamental understandings of what it is to be a male or female seems to be willfully ignored by so many. Disagree with these people and you are anti this, phobic that, or bigoted. I have no hate for anyone who wants to live their life as they choose, but please don't expect me to change my understanding of what a male or female is to appease those who would default to calling me bigoted or intolerant.
I see very little intolerance from people who share my view and lots of intolerance from those with opposing views. Those same people criticise people with religious views, throwing science in their faces at every opportunity. The science is ignored when it comes to gender though.

It's equally not surprising that posters here would class themselves as victims when people disagree with their opinion.

    I would never support harassment.

Do you believe Graham linehan should be treated like a woman because they've said it publicly?

If so... Why? And more importantly if not why not?

I know linehan has claimed to be different sexes. Do you not believe in gender fluidity?

    Odd no

As someone who moderates what comments are allowed on a LGBTQ forum to assert that certain opinions don't speak for the whole of a community......

If what Linehan did (re-posting publicly available pics and statements made by someone else on a different internet forum) is harassment then what you have just posted is also harassment of Linehan.

Do you believe you have just harassed Graham? I don't, it is clearly derogatory but nowhere near being harassment.

What a crook of ****e, seriously have we not learned anything ??????????

How many gay/lesbian/Transgender people have grown up under the impression they have to be straight or what ever gender they are born because of the way they are raised and because of the pressure of society to be a certain way , Are you trying to say that never happened ????????????

Of course it did but wait..... what it could never happen in the opposite way ?

Parents of feminine boys & young feminine boys are under that same pressures now from certain parts of society ,
Like the people before them its only when they grow older and wiser they understand who they really are but unfortunately unlike the people before the way the world is going it may be to late for them depending on far they have gone ,

Again I don't care what you do but it's extremely foolish to think something that has happened before can not happened again
As a lesbian, who grew up being called a man, mocked, name called in the street, spat at, told numerous times that I just needed a good f***ing from a man, amongst many other things, I don't need any lessons, thanks.

There is absolutely zero doubt that young girls who present in a more masculine socially constructed way are being convinced that they are actually trans and that they should embrace it, get on testosterone, dangerously bind their breasts and many go on to have a life changing double mastectomy. I am not saying that absolutely non of these girls are not trans but the way the numbers are dramatically increasing clearly shows there is something very wrong:
"The number of children, in particular, being referred to the Tavistock and Portman Foundation Trust’s gender identity development service (Gids)—the NHS service through which all UK candidates for a sex change under 18 are funnelled—is up from 77 in 2009 to 2,590 in 2018-9. But what’s almost as dramatic as the headline numbers are developments in who is transitioning. In November 2017, the Guardian reported that 70 per cent of referrals were female. This was a surprising statistic because only 10 years previously the overall ratio had been more like 75 per cent males seeking to be female"
    https://www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/magazine/tavistock-transgender-transition-teenage-girls-female-to-male

The way young girls and women are supposed to present themselves in society allows very little room for those who do not fit neatly into the 'girly' category. It never really did. The difference now is rather than those girls having the time to grow physically and mentally, and come to terms with that who they are is absolutely fine and they absolutely are not male.

They are getting caught up in this seductive notion of trans identity. If I were a 14 year old lesbian now I have no doubt I would be seduced by it all. Teenagers are easily led and desperately want to fit in, be cool. When you are being told how stunning and brave you are for being trans how easy it must be swept along by it but it is staggeringly dangerous to allow such young people to make such life altering decisions with very little interrogation into the real reasons for thinking they have been born in the wrong body. Trans identity politics promoting the wrong body narrative, being assigned the wrong gender at birth, that sex is a spectrum, genitals are not relevant etc is dangerous, bonkers and homophobic.

Excellent post and refreshing to see it coming from someone who can identify directly with the frightening velocity of these ill considered life changes. Confused children are given no time to develop and grow and figure themselves out before these outcomes are being thrust upon them and presented as "brave". It's brave to ask questions and stand your ground rather than swallow the latest gender flavour out there.
