Good sites for pre-builts?

Unsure if this is a correct part of the forum to post this to, but here goes. Basically I got recommended an awd-it PC recently here and I was going to get it, however prices have been going up and up and now it's at £800, when I was originally going to buy it for around £750 or so, keep in mind that's pre conversion to euro. I don't know any good sites for pre-builts other than awd-it, and it seems a lot of their other offers are a bit terrible.

I was wondering if you guys would know anywhere else to look? My budget I'd imagine is around £760, or around €830. Something with a 1660S and a newish Ryzen 5 would probably do me for the next 7 years. Considering I've survived on a Core 2 Duo for like 4.

Edit: In case you were wondering, the awd-it pre-built I got recommended was: https://www.awd-it.co.uk/awd-mb520-argb-ryzen-7-2700x-nvidia-gtx-1660-super-16gb-ram-desktop-gaming-pc.html

Though I swapped out the PSU for the 550w MWE Gold as I don't trust the CVs at all. The case for the Phanteks P400A, put the cooler as the Wraith Prism (it was originally included for free with the feckin' thing.), and the storage for the SX8200 Pro 500GB and a 1TB Barracuda. This exact combo is now £800, it was like £760 a few days ago. I could probably switch out the 500GB SX8200 for the 256GB and be *relatively* fine but I might as well scope out any other options.

They were selling it and below cost for a while, when I got that exact PC it was about £100 cheaper than that. Must have had excess stock or something.

Other decent sites would be CCL online. Not sure where else, OCUK are fairly pants for pre-builts usually, and PC Specialist usually aren't great either but could do some comparisons.

Palicomp have lots of prebuilts posted on HUKD.

Thanks for the response, I checked CCL, OCUK and PC Specialist, none of em' seem that great really. The awd-it one still seems like the best value unless I'm dumb but even then it's still really costly compared to how it was a while back. Kinda unsure what to do now.

Edit: The last comment hadn't loaded by the time I responded to Homelander's. I looked at HUKD and did the same build roughly as the awd-it one. Came out to the same price roughly, although with this I'd get a TUF B450-Plus which I think has *slightly* better VRMs than the Pro VDH Max with awd-it. But my main thing is Palicomp looks really shady? Plus the case selection is really poor, most of the cases have barely any airflow on em'.

I’ve bought two prebuilt over the years from overclockers and countless friends have too. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Quality work and only ever had one RMA issue and it was painless

A few years ago, the best value in PCSpecialist were the "review" builds. You would visit their Reviews page and some of these would have a great price for the parts included, with the caveat that you had to buy it exactly as it was. You could add a monitor or peripherals, but couldn't replace anything from what they spec'd.

Similarly, Scan's pre-builds section, called 3XS, has a "PC of the month" that is usually great value, compared to the cost of the parts.

Other than that, their pre-builds usually cost about 100-150 quid extra, that include the effort to build it, test it and the warranty of the system as a whole ("peace of mind", if you will).

Yeah, I've heard good things about Overclockers, looking at their PC build it's £30 more expensive than the awd-it one though. But it does come with a B450 Tomahawk, which'd have considerably better VRMs. Though I don't plan to do a lot of Overclocking so VRMs aren't a huge concern for me as long as everything will function efficiently.

Do magazines still do group reviews? Back in the day a hundred years ago when I worked in the PC business these were sold under cost price in an effort to win the review.
