Active account at new property

I’m currently with Eir for broadband since March & recently bought a house. My Eir service has been at a rental property. I tried the moving home process but don’t have much paperwork at the new address so couldn’t meet the requirements (3 months utility bills or copy of deeds showing ownership at new address). Because there is an active service already at the property they’re not letting me transfer over to the new address.

I decided to try plug the current router from the rental property into the new house and it works as if I was at the rental house - which I didn’t expect. I was going to cancel my Eir account and pay the cancellation charges but it seems I can still use my account and router at the new property. Has anyone else come across this? Am I likely to be cut off when a new tenant tries to open an account at the rental property.

As things stand someone is paying for broadband at my new house and I am paying for the service at the rental address for whoever moves in there next
