    Hi there,

Does anyone here know anything about working as a driver for Just Eat? Particularly the insurance and tax implications.

    Thanks

You will need to have appropriate insurance. Talk to your insurer about the cost

You will officially need the proper insurance cover but i know for a fact the vast majority of drivers don't.

Thats fine until you have an accident and aren't covered.

Of course. I didn't say it was right just that it was widespread.

Your fact is simply wrong. Just Eat will ensure you have the appropriate insurance. You upload it. Most if not all regular insurance companies will not cover hot food delivery.

When you cannot upload the specific insurance Just Eat will put you in touch with a per use insurance company like Zego. Zego for example then inform Just Eat/Deliveroo that you are insured. If your insurance lapses then your Just Eat/Deliveroo App stops working.
