    Hi guys,

Just got a 65cx delivered from you today and as I took the LG warranty label off the screen it left visible bubbles behind like you would see on a badly fitted screen protector on a phone.
Is this a protective film that needs to be removed?

    Hi Ffocused.

    Thanks for getting in touch.

Glad you have received your TV.

Yes there is a protective cover over the screen which needs pealed off. That is what you can see bubbling.
This is done by the manufacturer to reduce on scratches etc to the screen while in transit.

Any issues please let me know.

That’s the answer I was hoping for!

Should I remove the film from back of display too?
I have seen it suggested on YouTube to help with heat dissipation , but want to be sure I should remove it first before committing to what could be an expensive mistake.

    Hi ffocused.

The plastic film over the televisions are just like the ones you get on a brand new phone or tablet and are there for extra protection while the product is in the box to avoid scratches or scores.

You can indeed remove both the one over the screen and the one on the back of the TV.

These should peal off easily but do remember to be careful as the OLED screens are very thin and id you apply to much pressure to them may smash.

Let me know once you have taken them off and are up and running.

Got it up on the wall and all set up yesterday evening.
I did not see the pull tabs on the screen protector until I had the bottom of tv out of the styrofoam which is why I posted initially😊

    Hey ffocused.

Glad you are now up and running :)

You are not the first to ask about the screen protector and it is always better just to check if you are not sure.

That's what we are here for.

Thanks again for the business it is much appreciated.
