PTSB bank acting strange over credit card?

    I'll keep this as short as I can. A card I have has a spouses name on the account. Card is barely used so a letter comes in saying because of the other name on the ac a new card must be issued. When a call was made to query a heap of questions such as how much is the card used, is it used to pay bills etc. When pushed further the person on the phone says it's down to brexit? Also was told to come down to get the new card and also have pictures taken? Never heard of having a picture taken for a card before. I thought scam but the teller st the branch said the same thing but couldn't provide details. Anyone know what this is about?

    Sounds extremely weird. If they cannot explain why how can they request it?

    Maybe time to get a card from another provider.


    Can't see how Brexit is involved in this. Did they say what Brexit related issue has caused this?

    Na. I'm not too fussed to be fair. It's actually for a relative to be honest I'm just more curious than worried especially the photograph part as to why they want one.
