    Google Mr Naeem Maniar

You will find he spouts a lot of hot air with his claims and projections.

People say "what about the jobs" - most are part time and paid as low as possible (under €8 for the younger staff), short shifts and generally unattractive working conditions.

Then it takes business from other stores who have to let people go, so rarely a net gain.

Mr Price is another that flouts the planning laws as does dealz in some locations.

hi mate any inside info on that lets hear it

    Can you write in English?

    And I'm not your mate.

If it's the €8 per hour, just ask some of the younger workers. It's not illegal, but companies like this take on young staff in order to pay as little as possible.

McDonald's do it too, but they give excellent training and move you to the €10.60 rate within a few months.

    You don't need "inside information"

Yes, lots of different places put younger people on the reduced minimum wage. Supervalu also did this when I worked there. They didn't increase the pay until they had too. I believe its a very common practice.

They've just had about 100+ metal combi's delivered to their Tramore store, not sure if thats a good or bad sign.

Edit: Looks like they are filling the combi's with stock and putting them in the truck :(

Was in today, they've removed all food products, which is a pity. But if it leaves them to remain open, I guess it'll do.

Two Homesavers discount stores in Co Waterford which opened just before the Christmas market got underway must close down, the High Court ordered. While a third Homesavers store in Waterford city can remain open, it cannot sell convenience goods, including food, clothing and footwear, Mr Justice Garrett Simons ruled.

Waterford City and County Council got an interim injunction last month preventing the Homesavers operators remaining open because it was claimed they were in breach of planning permission.

The Waterford city premises can continue to operate but will be restrained from selling clothes, footwear, and convenience goods, including non-durable household goods and food. Unauthorised signs there are also to be removed within 72 hours.

What else is left for them to sell?
