    Hey Richersounds,

I'm looking for 49 or 50 inch TV on a modest enough budget. I'd be using it for next-gen gaming and watching netflix and sports etc.

I was reading a good thread of recommendations over on avforums, and the folks over there highly recommended Richer Sounds as the retailer to buy from!

So far I have narrowed my choices down to the Hisense 50U7QFTUK or the LG 49NANO866. From what I have read, it seems like:
    • The Hisense has the better picture (particularly HDR) if viewing straight on, and is about £130 cheaper from what I can see.
    • The LG has great viewing angles, a 100hz panel, and has HDMI 2.1 with variable refresh rate.

I am a little bit concerned about what I've read regarding the LG's edge lighting, but I don't know how bad it is!

I'd be more than happy to hear if you guys disagree with anything there? I'm just piecing together what I've read!

Would you recommend one over the other (or a different TV entirely)?

    Any help much appreciated, thanks!

    Hi Hamille,

why do you need us :D your research is spot on..

Hisense specialise in disrupting the market and the 50U7 does just this again - the picture quality at the price range is super - however the 49NANO866 is also a really excellent screen and, personally, if only for the superb LG operating system I would opt for the NANO866 over the 50U7 - however if you don't intend to frequently use the Smart Platform - and the key for you is picture quality then the 50U7 is a really super TV.

Thanks again Hamille - super query and keep us posted if we can ever assist in any way,

    ATVB,

Thanks a mill John, really appreciate the reply!

Though I know you already have some of your BF discounts applied, I think as it's only a couple of days away I might as well wait until Friday to pull the trigger so that I can get a complete lay of the land! The price promise is a lovely touch too, I'm just worried that if I opt for a particular model now, a higher spec model like the 55U8 or similar may get cut a bit which would have made it tempting!

Whenever you get a chance could you please confirm current price and availability for the following (for delivery to Dublin, but I'll pay in pounds):
    • LG 49NANO866
    • Hisense 50U7QF
    • Hisense 55U8QF

If I was a betting man I'd guess that the Hisense U70 in particular is unlikely to be discounted further, if you know that the others are in the same boat please let me know!

Thanks again for the help :)

    Hey guys,

I'm going to go ahead with the Hisense 50u7qf please if possible?

I was going to wait until tomorrow for a full lay of the land but I'm afraid it'll be out of stock!

What's the best way to proceed? Should I PM, call etc?

    Thanks!

    Hi HamillE.

The 55U7 has already ran out of stock unfortunately.

Stock is flying out the doors at the minute :)

More are due but no concrete ETA just yet.

    Hi Kenny,

Maybe not good for me but I'm glad that business is good, well deserved!

Just to clarify, I'm looking for the 50" version, not 55". Is it the same story with it?

    Hey HamillE.

Sorry I put 55 by mistake.

The 50" is the one out of stock. The 55" is still in stock.

I understand that you may not have a firm idea on when, but are you expecting to get restocked on the 50" ?

And if so, is there any way of knowing if the price will still be as it is now or could it revert back to non BF price by the time you get it back in stock?

    Thanks for help as always!

    Hi HamillE.

We are showing a small quantity arrive in December but there is still no guarantee that we can secure one of these.
The stock is between all the Richersounds store and both websites so with low numbers they are dealt out in date order.

We can of course put up a no obligation order and that get s you in the list for when more do arrive. This would also be at the current price even if the price had to go up after Black Friday.

    Let me know your thoughts
