Hoping for a slightly higher median, wow I thought I went young but was still out by a few years

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,920 ✭✭✭✭Electric Nitwit

I'm actually watching The Snowman now :)

Reveal in about 5 mins, just need to hack the spreadsheet to negate a saboteur

I underestimated his age by two years. Incidentally, I was wrong by one year for the year of the film. Will the latter matter and what will the median be anyway?

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,154 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

I got his age at the time of recording about right - but thought both Aled and the film were older than they actually are, which fed in to my rudimentary calculations (give me lat/long and degrees/minutes any day!).

    So, meh.

I'm guessing some people said the year from the comments so median could be fecking anything :D

I just thought of Aled Jones in the main, and what year it approximately came in!

Wasnt too far off. I thought he was 10 in 85 so 13 in 82 isnt that far out. Now for the median though....

I'd no idea on age just knew film was early 80s and thought around 60ish. Beats the height of a Xmas tree anyway

OK, so the median was a nice round 50, with a massive 18 people getting full marks

The standard deviation ignores Ted, meaning every year off costs about 0.5pts...

I think Spook_ie misread the question, and a good few thought he must have been older

I would like to thank Brookside for helping me realise when Channel 4 began... If I didn't have a gut feeling it was somehow related to Channel 4, I would've thought The Snowman came out in the middle of WWII...

Full marks mean Green&Red wins, scoring an average of 8.75pts a day! Congrats GnR :D

Duffman gambled today, probably the right move but it didn't pay off

At the other end, Declan takes the spoon!

Thanks for playing everyone, hope you (mostly) enjoyed it :D

    Nice spooning Declan :)
