Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Every goal? It's a long time since I've seen a goal like that conceded by anyone. Seen the ball given away in a bad position sometimes, keeper might get charged down occasionally but blasting the ball across the box at a defender and it going in, wonderful.

Every goal we concede the same select few rush in to place the blame on Arteta. I have visions of them being outside in the garden. Not even watching the game, but then they get a notification of an equalizer so they're straight onto boards to complain. Doesn't matter what they goal is. It's ALWAYS Artetas fault.

Nobody blamed Arteta. He didn’t hammer the ball off a striker into the net.

When it's a goal from a glaring (and it is absolutely glaring) defensive error involving two players with form for it while doing something that's quite obviously the wrong thing to do then I think it's fair that those who choose to play those two players and those tactics also face some criticism.

Lacazette should be ashamed of that wailing he was at.

I think you need to read back they're Tayto. We'd at least two who were rushing into blame him. Both of them creaming over the goal conceded. Then we'd one who had a draft message about the Kroenkes saved from that tweet yesterday just waiting for the right moment to post.

I got slayed here for calling out the arteta out crowd here

It’s a terrible game this half alright. No football being played at all. We’re playing on their terms now.

So it's Artetas fault? Was it also Artetas fault when Emery was manager and Xhaka was going the same thing?

How have we not got a peno there. That’s a proper hand ball

Fcuking waste of VAR how can you accept that being missed

That's a fücking penalty. Anoyher fück over for us. Fück off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

How was that not a pen?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

That was a clear penalty. But we’re Arsenal so we don’t get it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,109 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

It's a sign you're being rode when even Peter Whalton says it should be a penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,505 ✭✭✭✭MEGA BRO WOLF 5000

Other end it's a penalty all day long. We are CONSISTENTLY fûcked over

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,661 ✭✭✭✭Arghus

    Christ alive.

    That is a penalty kick.

    That's ridiculous. I just don't understand it.

How the **** is that not a penalty... Bull****

The corruption in football is unreal. Time and time again, the officials pick and choose who they give calls in favour/against. It's gone long beyond bad quality officiating.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

    Proximity???
Any silly excuse not to give it. Shame on them with that crap.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,505 ✭✭✭✭MEGA BRO WOLF 5000

Not only is that a penalty under the new rules but under the old ones.

    What a joke decision.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

There is no excuse for a VAR decision like that really calls into question the integrity of the official

Anyone who puts Xhaka on the pitch to play for Arsenal week in and week out deserves criticism for doing so. At the end of the day that was a very Arsenal goal to concede, it would be nice at some point if we made a change away from being that kind of punchline.

What a load of crap. Why would the PL be “corrupt” towards arsenal?

    Conspiracy theory stuff.

It's just another awful awful decision.

When the BT ref says "I'm surprised he didn't give it" that's about as close as you'll get to them saying it's a disgraceful decision. :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,661 ✭✭✭✭Arghus

Ah, I don't believe it's a big conspiracy - just inconsistent refereeing, every single team thinks the refs have it in for them - but I am still baffled about how that wasn't given. His hand was out, he used it to bring the ball under control.

Xhaka has been excellent lately. He has been an integral part of the team, who has been performing excellently as has been pointed out in here.

Then he makes a mistake and it's "Arteta out".

    Ridiculous.

    £72m.

    Fair to say he's useless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,881 ✭✭✭TimeToShine

FFS Pepe simply has to score that!

Ridiculous just sums this game up. The amount of chances we fail to convert is pathetic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,505 ✭✭✭✭MEGA BRO WOLF 5000

    Pen?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

They will check the peno that can be over turned but won’t check the one at all that was

Fine with that one but makes a mockery of the last one not getting a fair call.

    Disgrace

I don't understand why the referee gives the red and penalty, he's just making himself look like a complete numpty. It has to be checked anyway so why not wait?

He deserves the red either way

Eeeeeeeh????? Not even a corner no?

Hang on. What the fûck happened there?

Eeeeeeeh????? Not even a corner no?

I think the ball came off the bar and back into play, rather than going straight out.

Burnley will get a penalty now, wait and see.

Hang on. What the fûck happened there?

1st one should have been a pen. 2nd one hit his shoulders

Commentators saying how great VAR can be, but the reality is that if there was no VAR, we would have had a pen, even if it was for the wrong incident. Farcical.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Luiz really annoys me when in forward situations.
His first thought is always to score himself and he ends up giving it away.

Previous incident was a penalty not given. 2nd indicent was not a handball VAR used correctly. We don't get it our way and our costly finishing again 2 points dropped.
