Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Stick around Hunky.
    We’ll win this.

I admire you're optimism. I'm just doing something productive instead.

    We will win this lads.
    I can sense it.

At least Bellerin cant play midweek. Taken the decision out of Artetas hands.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,877 ✭✭✭Pogue eile

    Silver lining, Bellerin is suspended.

    And there it is lol

no its not. its people like you who are poison for this club.

Just like the rest of those AFTV people .

You rather boo xhak vs that burnly idiot that pushed xhaka and moaned like a baby after a fair tackle.

    Go support Burnly mate

Funny enough, your over the top reaction here reminds me a lot of AFTV. You can check my post history and see I'm actually usually quite positive but Xhaka has let us down too many times now.

edit. note the bold bit pre-edit where apparently I'm poison to the club

    Auba scored?!

Elneny blessed, game over lads, Arteta constantly playing same players expecting something different

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

    Get Arteta out now.

Elneny puts a hand in the face and then dives to the ground.

Football is a pathetic sport in so many ways, bunch of man-babies. Sometimes I wonder why I bother.

    ffs

    1 nil to Burnley
    Aubameyang own goal

Now I really wonder why I bother. Pathetic.

    Aubameyang og. Ffs.

Like... you'd be afraid to say this is the lowest we can go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,506 ✭✭✭Underground

This is bad. I feel sorry for Arteta to be honest, his team selections could be a lot better yes but there's a lot of senior professionals letting him down week after week.

Well at least Auba is back in the goal-scoring habit lol

Considering what Xhaka was sent off for, we were lucky elneny wasn't off and a penalty conceded anyway

In fairness, we might win the Championship next season.

First time Burnley have ever been ahead of us in the Premier League.

Ah the Newcastle approach, think we could have the Paddy Power stadium?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,289 ✭✭✭Azatadine

And some people on here said we would get 6 points from next two games......I knew well we wouldn't.

Arteta is gone I'd say and he should be. Its a pity but he's terrible and unfortunately ( and wrongly) the players have caused this.

Inspiring the team is part of his job. They've given up on him. I feel bad for him as he is dealing with alot of wasters that Wenger and Emery brought in, but how on earth do we get out of this mess? The cheap option hasnt worked. We need Simeone.

Yea look, that was reactionary I have no problem admitting. I'm just absolutely sick of being let down by that sort of stupidity.

Our players are brain-dead useless *ricks. A massive game for us and that side ways and backwards footballer gets sent off and will cost arteta his job for the next manager to try out faith in him. Christ above I couldn't be any more annoyed.

Xhaka should have been gone when he ****ed up and made a mockery of the club and the captaincy.

Then what happened, he got the armband again

The club has to just sack the lot and play the u23s

They don't deserve to wear that jersey

I don’t feel sorry for him at all.
He said he’d pick players based on form but he’s failed miserably at dropping consistent under performing players.

    Sack arteta and then what?

You magically think any other manager will do anything better?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,307 ✭✭✭DarraghF197

Nketiah is our top scorer and Willian is still on the pitch

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

Arteta just has to go, he’ll not though. No way the players are working for him the indisapline is a big sign of that

Time to tune out for a bit watching this lot is just too un-enjoyable.

I hear that now Arteta has our defence sorted, the team is starting to work on our attack from January.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,456 ✭✭✭wonga77

the worst part about this is that Southampton are up next and there are a far better team than Burnley

This is the problem, he seems to say all the right things but doesn't practice it.

If we lose to Burnley at home serious questions have to be asked of Arteta

I don't really care about "the process" and all that nonsense, we've been toxic for months and at the end of the day that's on the manager.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,675 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

Ah the Newcastle approach, think we could have the Paddy Power stadium?

Well our owners' approache for years has been sort of higher profile Mike Ashley style.

I wonder if they even know we're playing today.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

    Sack arteta and then what?

You magically think any other manager will do anything better?

No we’ll keep him and just get loads more fans and ask them to stay positive. That’ll fix it

Didn’t you want to give him a year or more only a week or so ago??!!

We are becoming the new Sunderland. A joke! I wouldn't bet on those cowards in the championship.

    Willian! I forgot about him!

lets be fank, xhaka doesnt react like that all the time. his played 100 of game of arsenal and how many times his reacted like that?

even world class players makes mistakes and react poorly etc.

His not the only problem anyway , the whole squad is.

Mentally weak. Why cant the board sack off all the players and start from scratch and let arteta get the players he wants and feels will match his ambitons and style?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

I did, I thought we’d see a change starting tonight, he had snipets of good performances in midweek, the starting 11 today should reflect that but instead he went with the same 11 and the same tactic. Burnley are useless and look at us.

It’s fairytale stuff wanting him to stay he just isn’t cutting it

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,516 ✭✭✭jonneymendoza

Nketiah is our top scorer and Willian is still on the pitch

LOL many here were slagging him off as some average no hope player

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,937 ✭✭✭omega man

Arteta basically put the cones of for pep and charity FC handed him the big job ffs. Sorry that’s harsh but true.
People would have laughed Eddie Howe out the gate if we’d appointed him and probably rightly so but yet he’s a proven premier league manager.
    What have we done....
