Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It doesn’t matter if Arteta gets time with new players, you can see his style of playing is dogsh1t and the players aren’t buying into it anymore. There is no way this group of players should be this bad.

    Mkhitaryan
    The Jeff
    Danny Welbeck
    Theo Walcott
    Iwobi

All players I don’t even particularly like but would still do a better job than that turkey Willian. Jobs for the boys all day with that transfer.

    Bit of hyperbole there.

    Awful list

Mkhitaryan has 7 goals & 5 assists in 12 league games this season.

    Edit: Willian has 3 assists

Thing is, some here think we are too good to go down but we are not. The players have no heart or fight and the manager is way too inexperienced.

I still think we can go on a run to push us up to mid table. I don't think the likes of sheffield, Fulham and west brom can. We're in dire dire form but it just can't last the season...at some stage Arteta will go and we'll get in someone more experienced.

Waste of a free kick in a good area.
Did we actually have a shot on target apart from the penalty?

    Pepe is dirt.

    Another sanogo.

AMN getting a serious working over the last few mins. Sticking with it, though.

He’s not a right back and doesn’t like playing there.

Martinelli??! Too early. Hope he doesn’t end up injured worse than before.

I like Arteta as a person but this crap cannot continue. He's great with individual players as he was at City but it's clear he has very little management skills. You can't go through a 38 game season and lose 30 or so of those games and call that progress. That's what we're looking at right now. He has to go now!

    Why not Willian?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,238 ✭✭✭Ardennes1944

Relying on a 19 year old with minimal experience in the PL to provide us with a glimour of hope

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

    Fcuk off Willian.

    Laca coming on now. Strange.

Last throw of the dice for Arteta before the chop!

Is Ceballos actually any good? I mean, even slightly good?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,873 ✭✭✭djan

Not sure if correct but commentator saying that Willian has only had 1 shot on target all season. Really has turned into a possession recycling merchant. Thought he would do a lot better...

Too slow getting into the box for the crosses. Awful.

Freddie Ljungberg sent a message to Arteta with his last team selection before Arteta took over. He left out a load of senior lads and started the likes of Willock and ESR.

Instead, Arteta has gone on to rely too much on the more senior (and not good enough) players, and even brought in Willian who he seems to love. It'll be his undoing.

Christ, if this is us pushing for an equaliser we might as well all just give up now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

We’re even making Iwobi look like a footballer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,675 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

We’re even making Iwobi look like a footballer.

There are a rake of players we dismissed as not good enough over the past 5 years or so who are at least as good as their current equivalents.

This has to be the end for Arteta, there's just no fight in the team. That is 100% down to him.

You know that graphic they have on Sky where they show one player from each team ahead of an upcoming fixture?

I swear to God De Bruyne looks like he has a smirk on his face ahead of playing us.

You should have gone for big Sam to keep you up

I have to disagree, to some extent.

He's not really helping things right now, but these spanners shouldn't need a manager to tell them to try and actually win a match.

(In other words, pretty much everyone should be sacked)

    Never looked like scoring.
We were allowed the ball in areas where there was no threat. Many teams treating us like that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,456 ✭✭✭wonga77

This is worrying. Where the hell are the point going to come from in the next few games.
Something needs to change and fast

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,289 ✭✭✭Azatadine

    Played 14, lost 8. Shocking.

    So close to draw...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

    Terrible result.
    No improvement at all.
    Arteta is in big trouble.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,675 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

Does this mean Auba's goal during the week is our only goal from open play in ten league games?

Honestly, since Pepe scored at home to Sheffield United!

    So what now?

    He should actually resign.

There's no risk theres such a dressing room rift the players are forcing the issue? Yet again very few turned up

Regardless of whether it's the players or the manager, Arteta has to go now in my opinion. We've played more games than all the teams around us now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,289 ✭✭✭Azatadine

This makes the Emery era look outstanding. At least we were capable of getting a few goals and drawing games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,506 ✭✭✭Underground

I feel bad for him. Really wanted this to work. Loved him as a player and seems a top bloke. But I think we're at the point now where he needs to go.

And take half the squad with him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

12 defeats and 13 wins in 32 league games. Times up.

13 defeats and 13 wins in 34 league games. That's not even good enough for a mid table side.

Even if he does go, whoever replaces him will inherit this sh*te squad with what I suspect is a split dressing room. I think this will improve a good bit in the summer when a lot of wasters contracts run out. I don't think a new manager is the answer but I don't think Arteta will get the time to ride this one out.

Do you think they are not playing for Arteta? Somethings clearly wrong.
The Fa Cup win seems like a million years ago now. I thought watching emery ball was bad but this is far worse

    Good ebening.

Gib it' Giggsy to the end of the season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,573 ✭✭✭2ndcoming

They're just toothless. Sterile possession, tidy control of the game til they get to the final third and do nothing.

They need to do something Monday morning, this can’t carry on into the transfer window

Who’s out there that would take the job ??
Some people are saying viera and Henry double act but that’s just a sentimental idea surely

That would be frying pan into the fire stuff
