Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Saka has a hip problem and is unlikely while Aubameyang is in quarantine and could be available so fingers crossed.

Tierney doubtful too so could be a very similar team to Saturday. Perhaps Smith Rowe and Odegaard swapping places?

Anyone know if Saka and Aubamayang are available for tonight?
We created very few chances on Saturday.

I really don't think we were that bad. We had 17 shots with 3 on target. I can remember Pepe smashing it at Maguire, ESR smashing at the keeper, Laca off the bar, as well as a couple of Pepe chances that went just past the post. We definitely created plenty of opportunities to score multiple goals.

This is in comparison to the last match against them in the league where we only had 7 shots, with 2 on target, but we won.

Yes I didn’t realise we had that many shots.
To me it was like a game that never caught fire.
Maybe I wanted too much for us to win.

That's a strong side, and our bench looks good with Auba and Dani both on it.

really hope Pepe can show that he is worthy of a place in the first team. He did it against United, now let's see if he can do it consistently. He and Smith Rowe worked really well together so hopefully that will continue.

Tierney out would have been a massive loss but Cedric has done so well recently that's it's only a loss! Good to see Saka back

I remember Gunnerblog recently saying that he thinks Pepe does well down the left because it takes away his temptation to cut in and it makes him simplify his game.

I think all of Pepe/Laca/Saka/ESR should be fairly high in confidence right now, so I'm hoping they perform well.

I really like the look of that team. COYG

    That team should be winning.
    Better bench tonight too.

A win will get us up to 6th on table, at least for a while.

Why do the BBC still have that tosser Mark Lawrenson on their books! He's gone with a 2-0 win for Wolves. Let's prove him wrong. COYG

    Saw that earlier.
    It’s a Liverpool thing.
    They can’t forget ‘89.

I'm pretty sure he picked us to beat United the other day.

It’s a miserable winters night in Wolverhampton.

Only because they detest United even more than us.
He probably wanted both to lose.

    We look electric tonight

Saka again, need to put this team away early. Wolves have this eerie swimming pool sound here on purpose.

We’re moving the ball much faster tonight which is great and we do better playing this way.

    Disallowed ffs.

Crazy to think that 8 minutes in, Saka could already be on a hat-trick.

Guess it was a fairly obvious offside in the end.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,109 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

    Looked offside to be fair

Good to see Moutinho booked there. Another referee would have let him away with it.

Partey's passing is going to put some doubt in their backline, which hopefully ends up opening some space for our attackers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,068 ✭✭✭DenMan

Once the first one goes in it'll be open season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,109 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Wolves are playing two banks of players with about 15 yards between them. It's screaming out for someone to ping a few balls over the top of both lines into space for Saka and Pepe to run on to.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,404 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

    Woodwork hit again.
Hope this is not one of those games.

Pepe again. I think he has finally turned a corner. He's found some consistency. Needs to stay in the team now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,068 ✭✭✭DenMan

    Brilliant goal Pepe!

Terrible defending but a great goal from Pepe.

    Great individual goal.

We're just so much more entertaining to watch these last few weeks. No longer is it a chore to watch a match.

The desire to win it back and then the finish. Brilliant

Fantastic Pepe. That's what you can do with hard work and being bullish! What a finish too

Bellerin needs to stay closer to that winger and stop him receiving the ball.

Need to finish the job here quickly. Neto is dangerous
