Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

And there we have it. Others can make excuses but we all know who’s fault it is.

Played probably best 45 mins all season and then that. Luiz easily could have accepted the goal going in we had enough control to take it back

This is such a frustrating way to lose a game, and we will lose.

    Facking hell.

Harsh red, should be yellow and pen

    Sighhj wolves scored a cracker

    2-1

Nothing to lose now, just go for it. Several of their players are on yellows, so they'll be hesitant.

2-1 down and playing with 10 men, this calls for Martinelli

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,109 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Screamer of a goal. The game is surely gone now. Get Saka off and don't risk him any further.

Sadly, he should have known there was no way he could play the ball and just left it. Hopefully he struggles to get back into the team now after sitting out the next few matches.

This is the point everyone is missing. Even Keown said it, it’s not a one off it’s his 3/4 time same **** never attempts the tackle just brain farts

According to Soups it was Luz fault. I think some think he should ran away from the ball.

Soft red card and long serving Wolves midfielder bangs in his first home goal with a 30 yard screamer in off the woodwork.

    Sometimes it's not your day.

The younglads will play hard right to the end I wouldn’t write this one off yet.

According to you we should concede the game and take off players.... passionless

The game has rules, clear rules, when you don’t follow them you can’t choose to ignore the outcome. Blatant red and not his first for it, he knows the rule more than most

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,573 ✭✭✭2ndcoming

I'm more annoyed about the goal kick tbh. 20 seconds left in the half in a game that you're cruising and he punts it up to no one, if ever there was a time for a short one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,249 ✭✭✭mossie

It's a joke that there's a red for that and Fernandez didn't even get a yellow at the weekend.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,881 ✭✭✭TimeToShine

Wolves look shaky, we can steal something here if we keep our composure

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,573 ✭✭✭2ndcoming

It's also nothing like the other ones, whoever keeps saying that needs to go back and look at them.

    Ah ffs shoot Partey.

Jeez the ref is giving harsh frees against us

    You don't like Luiz.

    I get it.

    Blatant is a bit harsh.

I don't contest it, but please be reasonable.

Luiz must have incredible control over his limbs if he could time his run so that his knee would come into contact with the sole of the player he's running behind.

    Genuine question. Football has rules

The rule is clear if you deny a goal scoring opportunity in the box in any way other than a genuine attempt to play the ball it’s a penalty.

How is what happened not blatant?

In fairness, the attitude is still positive.

Because it's quite clearly not a deliberate attempt to foul the player?

Not always but here is a case where he has been treated harshly, and possibly with prejudice by the ref who was eager to punish him there.

Would love it if the ref himself checked the monitor to be honest and then decide.

Xhaka booked now. He could walk too so I’d gamble and take Odegaard on now to replace him. Attack for all we’re worth. We’re losing anyway.

Your so red glasses. So now the ref was eager to send him off with prejudice? Really so not only was he not at fault he was targeted by the corrupt official

Ok that’s me out on this topic, it’s impossible to discuss with conspiracy theories

    That Is. Irrelevant

That’s not the rule, I just showed you the rule?

Conspiracy theoriests go against the grain. You're the one everyone disagrees with here by the way.

Whatever you think. Luiz doesn't deserve abuse for this though he literally accidentally tangled with the player, how he could avoid it I don't know

Not everyone. When the dust settles Luiz will take responsibility

We’ll go with the corrupt ref instead ðŸ‘

Explain what Luiz could've done to avoid that?

That's as simple as it is. Explain what he could've done to avoid the outcome that happened?

This is it. He couldn't really have done any less, one of the softest reds I've seen for a long long time

    Leno sent off

    We're down to 9

    Leno sent off.

Posted 20 mins ago. Worth reiterating.

    What a fcking disaster.

We have now equalled our most red cards in a season for at least the last 20 odd years, and that's with almost half a season remaining.

    What a season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,289 ✭✭✭Azatadine

What a shambles we are. An absolute shambles.

Series of unfortunate event night lads til the next game

  • Moderators Posts: 8,725 ✭✭✭x PyRo

A game we should be going into half-time 2-0 or 3-0 up and here we are losing 2-1 with 9 players on the pitch. Arsenal never cease to amaze.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,342 ✭✭✭Bobby Baccala

    Am I seeing this? 😂

Surely arsenal are just an experiment to see what a football fans mind can take before they snap? :pac:

Not run across the attacker's path. Pretty simple. It was a foul, no attempt to play the ball, red card.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,866 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

    Not our night

Still think we were excellent before the Luiz red card

Hopefully it doesn't affect the confidence of the players

Feel sorry for Arteta (not for the first time), idiotic interventions from our own players costing us time and time again.
