The game has rules, clear rules, when you don’t follow them you can’t choose to ignore the outcome. Blatant red and not his first for it, he knows the rule more than most

I'm more annoyed about the goal kick tbh. 20 seconds left in the half in a game that you're cruising and he punts it up to no one, if ever there was a time for a short one?

Luiz must have incredible control over his limbs if he could time his run so that his knee would come into contact with the sole of the player he's running behind.

The rule is clear if you deny a goal scoring opportunity in the box in any way other than a genuine attempt to play the ball it’s a penalty.

How is what happened not blatant?

Not run across the attacker's path. Pretty simple. It was a foul, no attempt to play the ball, red card.
