Think with Uncle Warren, unless the Irish player is playing twice as well as a Welsh or English counterpart they won't be going. I'd expect to see maybe 6-8 Irish players going, possibly less. And you know what I'd have no issue with it. Give all of our front line players a full summer off. Let them rest, get surgeries, recover from long standing medical issues or just heal up.

It would be a weird scenario if Wales win the grand slam with a group of ordinary players with not many who'd make a lions team

To be honest I think we'll have more. We had poor tournaments in 2013 and 2017 yet we were still very well represented. Here's who I think will go

    Furlong
    Porter
    Henderson
    Ryan
    Beirne
    Stander
    Sexton
    Henshaw
    Ringrose

The way Will Connors is playing, he could be in with a shout too.

Something daft going on here - reckon we're starting Craig Casey and Joey Carbery.

Would be delighted for Will to go.

But I reckon Curry, Watson and Underhill are all on the plane as 7 options.

Yes I know Underhill is injured. I just suspect he's gonna travel

After all that, POM on the bench. Love it.

They must have been waiting to see if Connors could play, hence the delay.

Josh has been playing some great stuff though so not a big drop off but Connors was unbelievable last week.

I like the back row. Conan offers something different and has been playing great.

Happy with most of those selections, a bit surprised to see Conan in instead of POM but I suppose that might be down to game time.

Great to see Murray, Stockdale and Aki back in along with Kilcoyne promoted, it feels like the strongest team we've been able to field this year.

    Big game for Stockdale

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,093 ✭✭✭Brewster

Certainly a team capable of taking England on. Huge chance for Stockdale now, hopefully he can re establish himself. Back row is well balanced, not sure they have ever started together before?
