Amazon Dot and Amazon Show - can somone clarify?

    Is the Amazon show the same as the dot with the added benefit of a screen? So it technically replaces the dot rather than is used in conjunction with it? Bit green with all this stuff :(

    Yes, the Show device is a Dot with a screen (and a lot of extra functionality that comes with a screen).
    If you have the Show, you don't need the Dot.

    I use the show as an alarm clock and then have an Echo in the living room.

    Works great for me.
