Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Maternity benefit is usually done on your previous tax year or 2 years before i think. You would need to ring citizens advice to double check though.

As far as I know you need to be in employment to get maternity benefit. However, you can start maternity benefit 16 weeks before your due date so depending on when you’re planning on resigning, you may be able to get it early. It would mean you’d have less time on it after having the baby though so it may not be ideal depending on your circumstances.

yep you won't get it if unemployed at time of maternity leave. i left a job i had for years with a high risk pregnancy and i got nothing for maternity benefit.
