    Bing Crosby - White Christmas

    Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah

Greg lake - I Believe in Father Christmas

Bing Crosby and David Bowie - Peace on Earth

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,251 ✭✭✭speckle

    bing
    thurles
    aled
    bowie and bing

Be sad to see greg go ...better than some songs that got through so far.

My parents favorite songs appear in this round. We lost one of them at this time of year as well as a grandparent on Christmass day. My thoughts with anyone who has loved and lost someone around this seasonal time or during the year gone by. x

    Bing Crosby - White Christmas
Thurl Ravenscroft- You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch. I am taking a stand here people, no more non-xmas songs will be voted for by moi. So Buckley is out.
Greg lake - I Believe in Father Christmas
Bing Crosby and David Bowie - Peace on Earth

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without Aled Jones walking in the air. Whether its originally an Xmas song or not

Queen - Thank God It's Christmas
    Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
Greg lake - I Believe in Father Christmas

    Yes same
You wouldn't hear most of these on the radio or in shops either, it's the same old handful of xmas songs played every day ad infinitum.

    Anyways...

Aled Jones - Walking in the Air 7 7 Greg lake - I Believe in Father Christmas

I have to vote for Aled Jones here. Way more iconic, and tbh I don't get the grá for Greg Lake's song at all at all.

They're both pretty bad, but I'd take either over the two Chrises, Rea and De Burgh. The sooner they're gone the better.
