    Mean Girls did it better

I was actually considering including the Mean Girls version but with two versions already in I decided that was enough Jingle Bells being rocked :D

Work colleague just sent me this; thought ye might appreciate it.

What sort of two-bit tournament are you running here, Necro?

Bring back Macker! he'd never let such carry on carry on.

That song has always creeped me right out. No matter about different versions, the effect is the same.

It always reminded me of this one...

If we're morphing into Never mind the Buzzcocks - Peace on Earth Ted.

It always reminded me of this one...

    :D:D

It is kinda haunting but I think its stunning. There are soooo many versions of it & with using different instruments, & even different languages too like Ukraine & Italian & each of them are as good as the others.

I think I'd even like it if Coldplay tried their hands at it

Oh no thanks! I think it must use the Devil's Interval

I'm almost certain I heard it used in an old horror film years ago. It fit right in.

Kicking off with the Quarters at 6pm folks.

I'll post all 4 at the same time, with an hour long time limit for the matches.

Most votes will advance to the Semi Finals and we'll power through that tonight as well all going well :)

    I'm just looking at them:
Bing Crosby and David Bowie - Peace on Earth
Dean Martin - Let it Snow
    Eartha Kitt - Santa Baby
Frank Sinatra - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
    Slade - Merry Christmas Everybody
The Pogues and Kirsty McCall - Fairytale of New York
    Wham - Last Christmas
Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday

I can see four songs that I would like to leave in and four songs that I would like to get rid of. I bet the draw will be between songs I like and between songs I don't like, i.e. like vs like and leave vs leave! :( Might be best if I miss it then!

There are three that I want to get through and one that I definitely want out. The rest I'm pretty indifferent about, they're grand and I don't hate them, but I don't love them either.

I should clarify that there is only one song I really love and there are three others I don't mind. Of the four I want to leave, one I am indifferent about and only vote for when there is something worse to vote for, while I really really want the other three to go! :D

3 I think are decent, 3 that are grand I suppose, and 2 that I can't wait to see the back of.

Wow! This has fallen nicely for me!

Wham - Last Christmas VS Frank Sinatra - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - Pleasant tune with a good set of lungs beats an overplayed song that I can just about tolerate at this stage!

The Pogues and Kirsty McCall - Fairytale of New York VS Bing Crosby and David Bowie - Peace on Earth - No contest here. Wonderful duet and sweet arrangement beats a by now boring song!

Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday VS Eartha Kitt - Santa Baby - Pleasant background type music beats an overplayed boring song!

Dean Martin - Let it Snow VS Slade - Merry Christmas Everybody - Nice laidback background tune beats an overplayed and frankly boring tune!

No! Unfortunately. The songs listed in the posts above are the final eight left, i.e. the quarter finalists.
