Just an update from the 470ml.

I got one of the original crates in early November and agree with all the criticism.

When I got the Tesco two for e35 I realised that the they slipped one of the 470mls in with the other 3.

Its packaged differently than the original ones.

I've had one so far and the head was far better than of the previous 24.

The cans system isn't an issue in itself. I drink the Left Hands Nitro stout from those cans and it came out way better than the original crates.

So they made a mess of the process.

It's possible they rectified the problem based off my sole can out of the newer packs.

Not to say I'd be happy to have them over the original cans, but I think there might have been a production issue they later rectified.

The only difference between the 470 ml cans and the 500 ml is the head which as said before isn't as proud.

Simple enough to rectify by tipping the cold can a couple of times.

The taste is exactly the same.

The only way to find out is try a can for yourself.

    So true.

But the Guinness aficionados will tell you it’s the worst thing ever. Not just bad it’s woeful! .... even though it’s the same recipe. Lol.

I’d would love to see some of them do a taste test.

It was epic value when it was like 70 cent a can before Xmas. I picked up 4 crates. Have 1 and a half left.

There’s fuc k all difference in them.

Might pick up a few more when they’re still cheap.

Yea I give the can a good shake and when I open it there is a good whoosh out of it, pour into the glass and a fine head comes on it.

Spotted a 5L mini-keg of Hope Brewing for €20 (so €2 per 500ml) on O'Briens. Short-dated to 31st Jan but rarely an issue with craft beers. Would be a tasty drop regardless.

My local O'Brien's (Parkway, Limerick) had 24 bottles (330ml) of Rockshore for 20 euro a few days ago . . . it's a pretty unremarkable light beer, really, but that is very good value for 24 bottles . . .

And you are getting the equivalent of 2.5 bottles extra over a case of 24 x 300ml.

'Tis prety unremarkabale beer but nice for a refreshing "suds" beer with low enough alcohol so can guzzle away merrily.

Have found the Canadian Molson bottles just as refreshing with same low alcohol content but usually retails for around 14;75 for 20.

So tempted by this but would be afraid it’d go flat by the time I drink it.

It’s about 10 pints. At 6.6% per pint I’d be lucky to get through 3 in an evening.

It’s actually less than 9 pints so you’ll be grand :D

It's an extraordinarily cheap price for a "nice" wine Lidl have some very good offers but that one is stretching credulity.
