Do Visa offer any kind of buyer protection?

    I have paid for a service online on November 26th, it provides an investment index, but the last week they have been experiencing service issues and there has been a lack of acknowledgement of the issue, communication and transparency.

    If I choose to request a refund from the service provider, am I also offered any protection under Visa where I could raise a refund or even a fraud request to get my money back?

    The company is US based.

    For non-delivery of good and/or services, you can certainly raise a chargeback, but in this case, they have provided "something" and this makes it more difficult.
