They're really not that hard to find. There's regular drops of consoles. If you really want one you'll find a way within a week. It's just impossible to get a GPU.

Impossible? I don't think that means what you think it means...

Started searching this month, got 1 from Currys and 2 from Amazon. No bots.

And while I have seen multiple Xbox Series S, I haven't seen any XBox Series X on any seller that ships to Ireland (granted, I haven't been as focused on it as on GPUs, but I'll leave it as an anecdotal observation)

Is it possible for mods to do a sticky or places you can buy or not buy post Brexit?

Not touching it until they get back to me. They have a section designated to open box items called Outlet. But seems they are taking advantage of graphics card shortages and selling them as new.

    My experience with Pcspecialist.ie:
Ordered 01/03. Received 06/04. Was expecting ~2 week turnaround from the site, but they have a covid page hidden away saying it could take longer. I couldn't argue with the price as I doubt I could have built it much cheaper. Assembly and cable management were perfect. There was a bearing issue with the rear fan and they shipped me a replacement fan today. I ordered it with OS but it came with Windows 10 Home (unactivated) preinstalled. All told, a positive experience.

I've no idea when I'll get my PC from PCSpecialist (waiting on GPU) but I've been amending my build every couple of days and for various reasons have needed to ring the UK number to get a CS agent to change or arrange something that the online configurator couldn't. So far have had a great Customer Service experience with them and they've bent over backwards to help and accommodate me.

Integrated graphics on CPU. It's for a project recording studio, so I don't need a lot of graphics firepower.

Anyone else still waiting on getting funds back from Viking? They cancelled the order (in fact deleted my order from the site) but my money is still held pending in Paypal. Paypal tell me they can't do a thing because they didn't receive cancellation information from Viking.

This would be extremely helpful and take a lot of the "will they ship" lotto out of the picture.

Is there anyway to get an update on when GPU's come into stock in Curry's?

Been trying to get one now for a while and struggling even sometimes while waiting beside discord & twitter updates for hours.

It's sheer luck. From my experience, the site notifications don't work.

Was onto OCUK via their CS section of their forums and apparently an Irish person can order from OCUK, just not via the website. You can instead order by phone whereupon they can charge you an ex UK VAT price and ship via DHL who are setup for collecting the Irish VAT/Customs on our end. ie. They haven't yet, can't or perhaps don't ever intend to add these options to the website itself. Irish customers will have to phone in their orders.

I'll be ordering some stuff soon so I'll let ye know how it goes.

I thought OCUK were restricting their stuff to standing forum members only?

I assume its up to you then to guessitimate the extra costs at the border?

This will probably be brilliant to order GPUs

IIRC there is zero rate customs on computer parts so the calculation should be just the ex VAT GBP£ price incl. DHL shipping cost, converted to Euro and then 23% Irish VAT added plus whatever handling fee DHL charge.

Can’t make head nor tails of this myself but it might give you an idea of the DHL charges.

Top one is the only one you need to worry about, €14.50 flat fee or 2.5% of the duties that are liable, so in that case 2.5% of whatever VAT you have to pay if the 2.5% number is higher than the 14.50 flat fee

I can't get in either on Virgin Media Wi-Fi. It works if I use a VPN, both UK and Irish connections.

Must surely be you're WiFi so, mine works and I'm with Imagine

Just submitted an order over the Phone to OCUK.

What I did before phoning was Compose an email with my Billing Address and Eircode, my delivery address and Eircode (because its different from billing) and an attached PDF order/pricelist from OCUK. This is to eliminate any chance of mis-heard or mis-spelled important details for the order if trying to relay them over the phone.

Logged into my OCUK account, I generated this order/pricelist by adding everything including quantities into my basket. The Basket will say 'Cant's deliver to selected address'. However, down the bottom there is a link to a PDF version of the Basket. I saved this and then attached it to the email. I then rang OCUK, clicked 1 for Sales, only waited about 4 minutes on hold on Friday afternoon, explained to the Sales CSA that I was an Irish customer who needs to phone in my orders to avail of VAT exempt DHL shipping to Ireland. I asked for his direct email address and sent him the pre-composed email immediately. 2 minutes while he setup the order and typed everything in and then he took my VISA details and JOB DONE. DHL shipping for my 360mm AIO, 3x Triple QL120 Fan packs, Lian Li Strimer Plus Triple 8pin, Corsair Commander Pro and a few other small bits (detailed so you can visualise the size of the box) was about GBP£18. I of course pay Irish VAT and any Customs duties and DHL handling fee on my end when DHL deliver/are about to deliver the goods.

While the CSA did start to say I could have submitted the order on the website and then just rang OCUK with the order number to arrange the VAT exempt DHL shipping to Ireland, I had taken the big red warning on the basket/order page about not being able to ship to the selected address as my cue to proceed no further into the online order process, so I never got to the point of getting an order number from the website.

If anyone else has recently ordered from OCUK and did it the way the CSA started to describe to me then it would be helpful if they posted it here to inform others.

The way the CSA started to describe it, it may have potentially been a quicker method of ordering for an Irish customer. However, once I was connected to the CSA the whole process only took about 3 minutes anyway. Even a prepared order with actual order number still necessitates phoning OCUK and being on hold for an indeterminate amount of time (only 4 minutes in my case though). Its the hold time that will be the longest time anyway, not calling out the Order number to the CSA or in my case sending the CSA my prepared email.

    Hope this info helps others.

Set up a camel warning and got a 5600x from Amazon prime this week as they came in.
Lots left - there so no shortage for those cpus now.
Motherboards are in still in short supply though on Amazon with 2 month lead times - but i got a half price one from warehouse that was opened but as new :)

Very good deal on the 3400g only 300 pounds with motherboard and 16g ram included. Built-in graphics of course on that chip- didnt buy but good cheap silent pc upgrade for anyone not needing top speeds.

    “Roll it back”
