Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

With Utd sitting back I'd like to see Shaqiri start (or Locksmith Luscious Locks as someone called him here :D).

I want to see some bloody creativity today.

Is that not what thiago is for.

We have one Tiago, yes, but what about two Thiago's?

I hope klopp's words of signing no one is a ploy, we can't lump from game to game constantly worried what CB's are going to be available, it's looking bleak though

Dont think it is a ploy, if we were signing a CB I would have thought it would be done within a few days of the window opening. VVDs injury was October 17th so its not like they didnt have time to put something together. Id imagine it is Klopp having a specific target who we cant get right now and he wont accept the next best option, similar to how the VVD transfer happened.

Maybe a bit of a mad one but....should we take a shot on Dele Alli? He fits the age profile you'd assume we're looking for as a Gini replacement, and the actual current Gini replacement has already been signed in Thiago.

Jaysus, not for me anyway. Always thought he was highly overrated and fame seems to have gone to his head the past year. I'd steer well clear.

He was 100% not on the team bus which left the hotel

    Rumors no Matip
Something to do with a leaked room plan for player at the hotel Matip name missing

Why would they be in a hotel?

They stay at a hotel before all home games

Is it impossible he’s already at the ground getting pre-match treatment?

I’ll reserve my disappointment for the team sheet..
(Though admittedly it doesn’t look great)

Could he have left early to do a fitness test

Very strange that they are at a hotel for a home game and not meeting at the new state of the art training centre and going to Anfield from there in these COVID times.

3-1 handy victory against a bang average side who are punching above their weight in the league recently

No sign of Fabhino in that video either

They always stay the night before a game at a hotel away from distraction at home

Have a bad feeling about this one. Their pace up front will hurt us.
Needs to be a very controlled aggressive performance from us today.

    rumoured team Alisson

    Trent
    Hendo
    Fab
    Robbo

    Thiago
    Gini
    Milner

    Salah
    Firmino
    Mané

I really really hope that is wrong.Hendo in defence will never sit well while Milner along Gini in midfield is not a combo for a game of this magnitude

Please no henderson in defence he is a huge loss to the midfield

    Jaysus that's a positive attack.....can't complain I suppose.

Thats a killer about Matip, didnt expect Shaq starting though.

I'd swap Hendo and Gini other than that it's the team I predicted a few days ago now what formation do they go with.
Matip plays if fit the question is then who plays beside Fab if he isn't fit.

If Klopp doesn't trust Phillps & Williams for this game then it comes down to Hendo or Gini and I would rather Hendo in midfield.

    Ali

    TAA
    Gini
    Fab
    Robbo

    Hendo
    Thiago

    Shaq
    Bobby
    Mane.

    Salah

At halftime time he will have shaq off and One of the CBs on

  • Registered Users Posts: 433 ✭✭koppy

Shaqiri..seriously can't believe he's in. That is shocking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,023 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Fairly huge blow to our chances... can only hope perhaps it’s Gino that sits into defence, but it’s probably Hendo. Losing him and Fabinho from midfield in a game like this is fairly damaging.

With Shaq starting it looks like we’re trying to get ahead of it, starting on the front foot.

Looks like a 4- 2-3-1 which I kinda expected. Didn't want to see Henderson at the back, but look...... Klopp knows, he's seeing them all week. Quite attacking, can always get 3 up and bring on an extra defender when Shaq is tired!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,926 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Weak enough bench as well no real game changers on it.

Why so? Who else could have? He’s definitely well ahead of Ox who has been really poor since coming back, and Jones is in a bad run of form too, while Shaq has looked very sharp. Also plays well with Thiago.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Hopefully Thiago can continue to find Shaq between the lines, he's great from those positions but no one else in the team can ever get the ball to him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Klopp must have very little confidence in Williams and Phillips at this point. Not that I disagree with him necessarily but they really should have had a CB ready to sign on January 1. Pulling Hendo out of midfield alongside Fabinho already is far from ideal.

4-2-3-1 is how I would go, put Williams beside Fab, Hendo and Thiago in front, Shaq right side, Bobby though the middle, Sadio left and Mo up top. We need to try something different to try get the goals flowing although the simple act of Thiago being back and able to start playing could change that by itself.

Maybe Hendo will be CB and Gini can play with Thiago.

Great minds Jurgen! Hope it comes off.

Not confident without matip or more so hendo out of midfield. Have to trust klopp and the players.
    Fast start required

I think this is a big thing which Klopp has recognised. The two played together at Bayern and obviously have some kind of rapport.

2 very interesting teams, I think it wont be as dire a game as they have tended to be in the past.

That's a brave line up from both managers really.
This could be fun or horrible😂

Hendo at the back is a gamble, but what can we do in these situations.

He doesn't come across as intelligent, something I think klopp requires.

Did Alli not fail a medical with us before joining Spurs year's ago?

Thought there was an issue with a valve in his heart or was that all b*llox?
