I'm surprised we're surprised the front 3 have been changed. Salah and especially Bobby have phoned it in over the last 5 games. Origi gives them something else to think about and hopefully frees up Shaq and Ox to bomb on. I like that XI. I just wish Henderson was in mid but other than that, grand.

Everyone knows Origi at this stage. Looks like nothing is happening transfer wise in or out.

Where's this "dropping" stuff coming from? He's managing the squad during a hectic schedule. The interpretations are gas though.
You don't have to be a psychic to predict a full meltdown if Burnley win/draw.

Ah that was literally a month ago, on December 19th... it doesn't make a lot of sense that the reaction to that is to put him on the bench against Burnley many games later.

He'll be starting with Bobby against Utd in the cup over the weekend, and Mane will probably be on the bench.

Looks like we're playing with Origi and Mane as a two up top at times... both staying quite close to each other, which is no harm actually.

It's all so tight in the final third. Teams don't press us high at all anymore so there's no space

Robertson always gives the option on the left, as he should - but maybe we don't always have to take it. We keep doing it and giving them time to reset instead of keeping them backpedaling.

Yeah, I'm happy to see a few more shots from distance, just the possibility of a weird bounce of someones blocking leg, or a bad parry from a keeper - just things that let someone else in to follow up on the little bit of resulting chaos. Like Cavani last night against Fulham.

Mane a big culprit in slowing things down when he gets it, with the extra downside of not looking like he's gonna go past anyone either.

He's had a few opportunities to play in Origi's direct running, but instead plays it wide, or turns around and plays back into midfield. We need to try a few lower % passes in the final third and make them sweat a bit. Give them unexpected things to deal with.

Still a little too easy for Burnley defence. We have been trying too many crosses from wide which Burnley look comfortable defending. Nobody really making a run at pace to move their defenders around or take a player on. We are playing too much in front of Burnley back 5.
