Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Celtic want him in the summer - could be a bit of interesting horse trading. Give VDB on loan and 2 mill to Preston to get him now, then in the summer give him to Celtic with money to get Ajer.

Like those property ladder shows with all the chains. All great till someone changes their mind and leaves you stuck with an asset you're not keen on.

What's with the clamouring for Ajer? He's pretty slow and nowhere near good enough for us going forward

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,843 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

    Salah is due a goal
    Fingers crossed we win thsin

Henderson excellent at CB again. Some of his passing from the back has been VVD-like.

We're still too slow in the transition. Bobby on for the last 30 and maybe Jones for Shaq in the last 20.

Missing Mane here, someone to stretch the game a bit and play with a bit of zip and aggression.
Origi was pathetic, perfect wxame was a ball played into his feet on the left side, he's jogging backwards waiting for it to roll into his feet and a West Ham ayer intercepts it. No urgency, no desire, looks like someone who won a fvcking raffle to get on the field.
(I realise that I'm constantly complaining about him and singling him out whenever he's playing now, but he's offering nothing - anyone in the squad would offer more, even Robbo on the left wing in front of a left back would offer more today)

Hopefully West Ham might sense that we are there for the taking in this 2nd half and go for it....might open the game up a bit for us but we need Bobby in to try and take advantage of any potential space if that happens...

Grand ball playing centre back. If he's **** just flog him onto Celtic for 2m in the summer, sounds good to me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,109 ✭✭✭happyoutscan

10 minutes and I'd get Bobby on followed by Jones for Shaq.

Not sure if I could handle the Ox coming on and shooting from impossible angles etc.

    Nat Phillips is immense.
Nat Phillips is passing out from the back like a mad thing.

There’s very little crossover in what they give you... they’re not really competing for a role. If Minamino was playing today it would be instead of Shaq, not Origi. Div’s an out and out striker. Taki’s a deeper lying playmaker.

Div was the only attacker that looked half decent against Burnley, which has probably bought him the chance today. Looks off it today though. Would like to see Salah playing much closer to him as a 2. Div coming into it more the past few mins.

Phillips doing well today - looks a lot better than Rhys.

He's like a less expensive Maguire.

Any word on how Phillips is doing?

I find in hard to believe that Minaminho is a worse player than Origi.....everything about Origi is average at the minute, his touch is simply dreadful!

I'd say Origi starts over Minamino because of his size and strength, in theory Origi would be a better option against West Ham.

I'm not saying I agree but I can see why he's picked to start.

Be giving Shaq and Origi 10 mins for the 2nd half to see if they can do anything. They’ve been anonymous. Otherwise get Firmino and one of Ox/Taki/Curtis on.

Same... bring Bobby on for Origi with a half hour left.

Div’s not been great - but I feel like some people here still somehow expect Origi to be involved in interplay and pressing and sprinting around. That’s not what he does. He’s an out and out striker - he’ll do **** all else, but might score. Did yee think he contributed a lot to the interplay against Barca, or Everton, or Arsenal etc? He didn’t.. he just scored the goals that won the matches.

But he doesn’t do what all the others in the team do, which is why he doesn’t usually play. He’s plan B.

On his sharp days, he’s dangerous when it counts. On his rusty days, he stands out as being an ill fitting piece of the puzzle.

We are turning into a bunch of complete lightweights. Origi
Is a big lad . But never uses his body at all. Very lazy too.

Best chance there. Good play from Origi and Cresswell just got the block on Salah.

    Great from Div there.

    And again.

Whatever about anything else, he’s always a danger in moments.

Antonio is a tank of a lad.

    I'd swap Origi for him.

He's much better with space to run in to

Amazing how Firmino warming up has that effect.

My Dutch comms just said "overcooked!"

Antonio is a tank of a lad.

    I'd swap Origi for him.

He's like Matip. Injured, then back at top form till his next injury.

That would be fine, if Origi had ANY idea how to use his size.

Jones coming on for Shaq I'd imagine.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,679 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme
