That's why you play Shaq. What a ball

Trents pass was glorious. Not going for the obvious lump down the line to Salah

That was lovely and shows what Shaqiri can do and the touch and finish from Salah was top class.

Philips clearance header directly too him was pretty good too.

Loved seeing Henderson get on his bike there too.

Saw the counter opportunity and he just charged for it. He's immense.

    Who said Shaqiri couldn't run?

One of the most beautiful counterattacks I've ever seen.

That Salah touch and finish... Bergkamp-esque.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,521 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

God I hope Salah never leaves. What a player.

    That goal was something else

There’s just something about Shaqiri that I absolutely love.

With Bobby on now at CF would throw Taki on for Origi to take on Shaq’s role. Perfect opportunity to get him minutes.

Klopp may hold out out of concern he’ll need an injury sub though.

That goal sadly showed why Thiago doesn't work.

He would have done seven flicks and a side way spin ball defying gravity how slow it is.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,664 ✭✭✭dirkmeister

    Who said Shaqiri couldn't run?

Gary Neville was saying Shaq wasn’t running during the first half...he hadn’t finished his sentence when Shaq made the exact same run he was being criticised for not making

Tyler clawing out of his pit of misery and announcing his love for the beautiful game after that goal.

Shows you just how good it was.

Disagree. He’s as capable as anyone to hit a quick one.

Think this whole narrative is being totally overblown.

We just scored that goal in the break with him on the pitch. He gives options, he doesn’t take them away.

    That makes no sense.

He was on the pitch and a part of the team when that goal happened.

How many did Xabi have? He’s a CM. What’s your point? He’ll be the guy that gets secondary assists.

Exactly. Plus, Trent doesn't get an assist for that move but was certainly crucial.

Martin Tyler can’t shut up about the goal 😂

The legs on Antonio. Jaysus, he could be an nfl running back.

Not only that but he just came into the side during our worst run! 4 games without a goal. What a silly thing to throw at Thiago! This narrative is annoying.

As Dion Fanning said, yes Thiago is different, that's why he was bought

Have you looked at this game.....Thiago is the reason we have been so comfortable. West Ham can't get anywhere near him, if Rice and Soucek were getting on the ball in any form we would be in trouble but Thiago has given them the run around.!!!

I think I've seen Hendo give away the ball more than Philips!

Thiago is really good at robbing the ball when he stays upright.
