Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Alisson doesn't do playing with pain.

Missing a game because he got a pain in his belly, sad .

Are you serious??? What would happen if he need to run to the jacks in the middle of the game...

Whats the general thoughts here on gini getting another contract or leaving on a free

Love to see us keep him, hard to get someone who does his job amd take a while to coach into some one

Most of all i think hes a big personality and big game player, in top of the fact hes a machine fitness wise, He will be hugely missed for me

Empty goal so the same as having Adrian in there really while he does his business.

Philips nearly with a good ball to salah and hendo with a good one.

FFS! Had to get that on target.

Good chance for Mo. Think he had a bit more time than he thought.

Was surprised how well he wrapped his foot around the pass. Technique was far better than I had been led to believe.

    Where was the foul there?

Thiago/Milner is not the goal seeking pairing I was ever expecting!

Milner gagging for a goal. Calm down old man! :D

He’s beginning to believe he belongs

We're missing a little of the dynamism up front that we had in the last game. Just a little too stagnant in the final third.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Shaq's been pretty off it here

If Maupay wasn't so embaressingly one-footed, we were in real trouble there. Had the goal gaping for him on his left, but lost his chance by having to do something with his right.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Shaq is playing very much in the wide left, maybe a switch central and play Thiago on the left of midfield would make sense.

We’ve too many players that can find a pass. Problem is we don’t have enough making runs beyond the ball..

Tough night in store here again. Not really created much after that Salah chance very early on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,792 ✭✭✭Ottoman_1000

Oh god, this is looking like Burnely all over again......

I thought they were on it when we created that early chance....noting in the 30mins since!

    Frustrating watch this.

Brighton tactically spot on thus far. Need a bit of magic here because we're definitely not systematically creating chances.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Robbo has stopped making the runs in behind. He has ample opportunities but hasn't once pointed and made that run.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,288 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

Win the ball and it's a free kick

Looking very flat in midfield with no energy at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

The ref buys it every time they fall over

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,358 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

We need one of the midfielders to drive a bit. Run with the ball. This is all a bit easy and obvious.

Listening on 5Live......all sounds very ponderous :-(

We scored at home to Spurs with one but my god the outswinging corners are doing my head in.

The two lads bought for exactly that are injury nightmares - Ox and Naby.

Although in Ox's case its more that he's missed so much time that he might struggle to get back to that form.

    Zero shots on target.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

If you turned this match on after two minutes, you missed the only decent bit. That's a bit mad.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

It's getting more loose and messy by the moment. Klopp will be glad of HT

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

Jesus Christ this is awful. Injuries has ruined this side, completely disjointed.

    He's no friend of ours

Bobby is back to not looking sharp

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

To be honest even though they are mainly just defending, Brighton look more likely to score. Have had a couple half chances at least. Their keeper has had nothing to do.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

This is a brutal and boring match.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Gini had a first time pass on to Firmino running in behind there, instead he tried to turn backwards and ended up with a yellow card.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,358 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

I genuinely don't know why he started this midfield.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,843 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

Salah should have scored in minute 2
Since then its been so bad

No pace in the team at all bar Mo

Bobby and TAA are back to being very poor again.

Jones I think is needed in midfield.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,798 ✭✭✭✭DrumSteve

Not sure why they keep pointing out how tall Brighton are compared to us?

Anyway, that first half was scutter. Hope to see better in the 2nd half but there are 2 chances for that.

Well that was a real yawn of a first half.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Bring on the "kid" for Milner. I think it's worth the risk!

Jones for Gini or Shaq in 4-4-2

    Hendo
    ---Thiago----Gini/Jones
    Shaqiri/Jones
    ---Salah----Firmino

Just checked Wiki.... Kevin Bacon is 62 which explains why he looks so old. Makes sense now.
